Reddit is not letting me add photos to the post so I will post my hair in the comments

I believe my hair is 2b-c, I’ve been trying to grow it for 5 months now and I’m running into trouble to where it looks so dry and flat all the time, I’m not sure if the cause is from the products or what but I will list routine below.

  1. Products: Maui moisture lightweight curls flaxseed shampoo and conditioner

  2. Shea moisture Manuka honey and Mafura oil hair masque(applied after shampoo n conditioner in shower)

  3. Other products: Shea moisture sugarcane extract and meadow foam seed leave in treatment(applied immediately after shower

Garnish fructis curl sculpt gel conditioning jelly(applied last of all, around a nickel size amount)

Hi, I’ve been trying to grow my hair out but struggling a lot with it. My hair has grown to be very thin, frizzy, and stands up when messed with. I believe I’m 2b-c but I can’t get any definition in my curls no matter what products I’m using.

Routine:

  1. Products: Maui moisture lightweight curls flaxseed shampoo and conditioner

  1. I do not wear a bonnet or have any satin or silk pillowcases

My goal is to figure out what problem is, I’m not sure if it’s a moisture problem or a protein problem, but yea, any advice is helpful man.
