I get it, they have made a lot of questionable writing decisions but at the end of the day they’re still humans with human emotions and reactions, and they’re also humans you don’t know. You can insult their writing and work but to make personal comments (and don’t play dumb I know you guys see the Ryan and Sara hate trains) on their character and appearance for their writing is no different than the people who harassed Fabien and Olivia

new trailer dropped and it seems like sheepstealer is being ridden across the vale … where Rhaena found him … Does this mean we are for sure 100% not getting Nettles now or Is there even the slightest bit of Copium we can hit in hopes she’s still coming

Just as the title says, I was wondering how aside from arguing between which candidate is the rightful heir or the better ruler how you felt about rhaenyra as a character in a vacuum with no relation to anyone else. personally, I’m actually a fan of book rhaenyra, she’s so evil and entertaining and she reminds me a lot of cersei

not sure if anyone remembers but back in the promotional material of season 2 to sort of hype up the team green v team black dynamic they ran two different trailers for both teams and I was wondering if they were going to do that again for this season

So throughout ASOIAF there are lots of “post magical ruin” societies like Asshai, Stygai, Old Valyria and Sothoryos that indicate that something happened that made magic far weaker in Planetos and killed off these societies with disastrous effects on the local environment. We know magic returned and got stronger with Daenerys awakening the dragons and we are imminently approaching the Battle of Dawn in ASOIAF so … what about Sothoryos?

We don’t know much about Sothoryos and the majority of what we do know is probably just discriminatory xenophobic stuff written by old discriminatory xenophobic maesters but even from what we do know there is something deeply wrong with Sothoryos. Nymeria fled Sothoryos and refused it as a place of refuge for the Rhoynar because something evil inside the ruined cities. There also seems to be something deforming the Sothoryi people which I at first thought was racist xenophobia since Missandei is from Sothoryos/Naath and she’s normal but it seems like in a ADWD Dany chapter she sees a Brindled man and they are actually deformed (im going off memory idk if this is true). It also seems like based on Nymeria / Eustace that the vampire bats and horrible mammals part might be real (Though the dinosaurs part is probably fabricated)

so my question is … What is wrong with Sothoryos?

Asshai being dark and evil atleast has the basis that it was clearly a site for dark magic to be practiced that erupted into some kind of disastrous apocalypse which left the shadowlands in a Chernobyl like state. But what about Sothoryos? what’s inside there? is GRRM just intending it to be this dark mystical place or is it like YiTi where whatever is inside or affecting this place is intertwined with whatever is beyond the wall and the Long Night. all theories welcome no matter how insane
