I (f20) had an extraction in the beginning of March and got an implant put in on March 25. The surgery went grea, “stable”, as my dentist said. a week ago ( so 2.5 weeks after the surgery) the entire implant fell. I thought it was just the temporary safety cap, which my dentist told me could fall off. I went 25 hours later to get it put back in place, turns out it wasn’t the cap it was the entire screw. My dentist seemed confused. He said the surgery went perfectly and my bone seemed fine. He called me back in 3 months to redo the surgery.

I had an infection previous to that but took the full antibiotic course after the initial tooth extraction. I dont have any health issues that I am aware of. the only reason that I think could happen is that I bite/ grind my jaw quite a bit. For example when I am concentrating, drawing, maybe even in my sleep, I asked my doctor but he said that might not be the case. I have been worried ever since. Has anyone experienced this? What could be the reason?
