Poor Matt

I cannot believe that Matt as a character has had to raise himself and his sister. No child ever should have to worry about bills, groceries and parenting at such a young age. At most, learning to pay bills, income taxes and other life skills should be focused on. It is no wonder Vick was as damaged as she was. She had so much to escape.
I truly do not understand how a mother could do that. It seems like the children were an accident. The other thing I can think of is trauma. I don’t recall her entire parenting type, as I am only on season 1 episode 17. It has been years since I last watched this.
My heart hurts for him so much. When I was a teen, I definitely babysat for a few people that had similar lifestyles. This is definitely not healthy for any child. I am surprised he wasn’t more damaged and was responsible for his education, home and finances.
I do tend to think she has unresolved trauma and her rebellious tendencies are likely influenced by personal trauma. It could be loss of a loved one, such as a spouse or child. It is possible that she never grew up, or was influenced at all younger age to rebel. Overall it seems that she is escaping trauma. I suspect it was emotional trauma versus a physical trauma.
I wonder, when she developed the rebellious nature? Why did she need to escape?
It actually makes sense that Vick was escaping herself. Having absentee parents can really damage children. The children deserved better. After Matt and his mom learns about Vick, I expect her to run away from her emotions and problems, again abandoning Matt. When we see Matt’s mom crying when she receives, I am surprised that she was upset. She definitely cared for her children, but mentally she was not able to be present. Similar to absentee parents, the children are the ones that suffer.

I think my mental understanding is of a toddler. Forge and tockles

I am currently level 52, and have only used a forge a couple of times. Is there a quest that makes tips of forging clear? I find either defence or offence, choosing to upgrade a weapon is a bit frustrating. Every time I go to buy an upgrade, the two handed and one handed weapons always make me buy something I didn’t need. I mostly use two handed weapons because they have a higher offence. Do I just keep playing? I just received Hendrick in the game.

The little ghost tocking, do they all eventually become approachable for pastwords depending on where you are in the game? In tockington, in the area with all the books, some have glowing bubbles on them. Does this indicate completed books or books to complete. I seem to have come back after a few hours and have forgotten what I am supposed to do here.

New to the gossip of Matt I am appalled!

I had no idea when the vampire diaries came out, about the inappropriate behaviour of some of the cast. I also had no idea that some actors protected the cast from some sick behaviour.
I cannot see Alaric in the same way. I also love Stephen even more for some of his protection. I feel like I had no idea and of the inappropriate behaviour was happening. When I first watched, I felt a little creeped out by Stephan. Now it is completely different and I love him way more this watch. Seeing the small nuances between characters, truly is one of the things I love about the show.
Alaric, I used to think he was my absolutely favourite. I mean almost crush level, and now, I see a predator. I am sad that he hasn’t actually been cancelled from television.
Soon his receding hairline will be gone and he can be the dad on king of the hill.

I truly appreciate the male and female cast members who sought to remove the sexual and racist conflicts from the actors. I will never see Matt Davis as a good person. He is crude and sick! Serious pedophile vibes.

At first some of the notions I heard, I didn’t believe. After several evidences, he should never be allowed near women in any form. It’s ok, he is sporting a pornstache now

Bridgette (some spoilers season 3) and John

I am rewatching The Gilded Age again. It is one of my favourite shows. I absolutely adore period dramas.

While watching again, I found myself thinking about Bridgette. When she is on her date with John, given the age, I am so proud of the young lady she was becoming. After hearing about the abuse she experienced when she was younger, she has really grown in season 3 where she sternly tells John his advances are not reciprocated. Later she follows John to see his destination with flowers, and in the latest season she starts to show admiration to Johb and his endeavours.
A person experience assault, as she did as a child, there is often a period where the person starts to develop relationships with toxic persons, and re-assault happens often.
She evidently is still hurting over her experience, and still is able to develop some strong relationships of both sexes. I do adore her chances with John when he has his home, I love how she entered his home, understated to feeling insecure. When John asks her to sit with him, she spoke of her status. John was always an incredible person, and in my eyes the sweetest young adult. I was saddened when he had to leave his career. I love how the money didn’t change his value systems, and truly wanted to stay as a footman, at his employment gave him a sense of family. I cannot wait for the new season of the gilded age. His interest with Adelheid was a great moment. It wasn’t for her response to his invention. It was it was Johns self discovery that he knows his family and deciding and feeling that these persons were his family.

I love the staff of both families. Even turner. I love how she attempts to improved her social standing. It wasn’t always a great attempt, I do love her banter with Bertha.

Julian Fellowes is such a wonderful story teller. I admire almost every story he creates.

Given how challenging the Russels had worked very hard in regards as acceptance and acknowledgement. It crossed my mind, that John has stepped into the nouveau riche. He would be acceptance of “old money”. I also don’t believe many of the Russels. I wonder, would Bertha accept him? So he is not high society because of his background, and he does not belong as a footman. I so hope Larry with keep trying to help John. This would make it possible to develop relationships. The slow burn with John and Bridgett are relatively new, neither John or Bridgette could face so much online boundaries.

Excited but nervous for s13

I feel like the quality of the series grows worse and worse each season. I am glad Jessica Lange will be back. I don’t think anyone can even compare to the calibre of her acting.
I have very strong feelings the show has cast Kim k, and Ariana grande. I feel lady gaga was an excellent person to join the cast. Thankfully because I love her, I didn’t write off all artists in music and reality
I have felt that the series is seriously lacking a great story. They like to have an amazing start to the season up until the climax. After the climax, the show seems to lose their story. The finale often feels forced. I know many people didn’t like apocalypse. I enjoyed it because there was so much content from other seasons that made the story better than I was expecting. I do not like the actor Cody fern? ( I am not 100% sure my brain remembered that correctly.) I found his acting was so cheesy. It reminds me of an old RL stine goosebumps. all I could see was a person with a long monologue that was forced. Despite his poor acting, I do feel like he was really good in the 1980s season. I absolutely despise anything to do with the 80s. If a song comes on the radio, it is shut off immediately. I was surprised that I even liked that season. I won’t even watch stranger things because I hate the era so much.
The past few seasons have been getting worse each season. Almost feels like the show is a gimmick. I dont love Emma, in anything, but I tolerate her. Delicate had a really good premise but Emma is not strong enough to carry the story. I actually loved the American horror stories about Bhal. It was this story, that made me so excited for Delicate. I managed to ignore Kim’s horrible acting. The season though was really boring. Even with Dennis, was the only reason the show was tolerable.
I also really love Angela basset. In coven Jessica and Angela carried the season.

I am hoping for a good story. I love the content idea, and feel like they have a decent cast. I cannot remember if Kathy bates is in s13, but it would be a shame if she isn’t. I have recently got into Matlock, and it is so hilarious and Kathy bates is wonderful.
All I hope, is that the show develops a point to the season. A finale should not be exclusive to the last episode. I am very curious as to the role our favourites will play in season 13.
I am very sceptical about the storyline. I just really hope the actors playing their roles will help to improve the basic ahs plots.
What is your concern for season 13? What excites you? For me, hands down having some original casting is going to give the series a possibility of being great. I hope it doesn’t have a musical monologue as coven did about the tests for supreme.
I believe in the possibility of having something decently creative. I have hope going into every new season of AHS. Unfortunately the good stories are few.

My goal is to have a discussion with fans. Our fandom is pretty intense at times. I am not trying to complete poo poo the show. It is well widely accepted and being adored by fans. Not everyone likes the same things, and. Our fandom is absolutely immersed in the series.
I watch house of the dragon, it is one of my absolute favourite series. The fandom however is toxic and really lacks the support aspect for the season. With season 3 coming, I know Reddit will be bombarded with negativity as it is released. Since this does irritate me, I am not trying to be that exact person who just whines.

I admit that I have been a fan of the Tudor dynasty since I was 3-5. Not sure of the exact year. My mum also loved this era. In school the war of the roses was horribly taught. The intrigue, the politics and boring teachers have made this era to be horribly boring.
When I was a toddler, I remember watching a movie called young Bess. It was my first introduction to the era. I lived this show so much as a child and my fandom continues to grow 37-40 years later. I have watched pretty much every Tudor shows from the 1950s onward. Young Bess had a profound effect on me as a person, and I wanted to know more. The politics, scandals, the friends and foes, there is so much intrigue. I actually find it impossible for me to understand why anyone wouldn’t like this era. Again, I blame school teachers. As an example, in grade 8 we learned the very basics of the Roman Empire. I felt like after learning about the history, from a monotone boring teacher didn’t help me much. I recall watching Spartacus and Josh it felt like torture to me.

Now as an adult, I want more. I want to learn more, experience more and increasingly desire for more shows like this. In my adulthood, I did start watching the white queen, the white princess and the Spanish princess. I wasn’t offended to learn that these stories are fictional, and were not adequate for modern historians. The unpopular opinion regarding the Spanish princess, I absolutely loved this! I loved learning about a spunky Catherine. It seems that Philipa Gregory stories are often really despised.

I don’t have this opinion. Whenever I watch a show or documentary, I learn something new and desire to seek knowledge. I am not attempting to influence anyone, and love hearing about the recent developments. An example has arisen in the past couple of months supporting evidence that Richard III did have the boys in the tower killed. It was a letter with a Richard supporter writes in their will to assign royal affects the princes wore. Even today, we are learning something new, and there is so much to learn still.

I personally desperately want to learn about Jaquetta Rivers and her marriage to a squire after her first husband passed away. This is a prime amazing story that has not been told often. I don’t care if the idea of witchcraft is in the story, because magical fears did have a role even if it wasn’t true. I would love to have the entire war of the roses and each ruler leading up to Elizabeth. There is so many great stories that I feel if done well, could revolutionize the story of the era. I was reading a source that suggested Jacquetta was tried for witchcraft.

Even if history isn’t accurate, the educational and personal dynamics are incredibly interesting. I would also really like a season dedicated to Jane Grey. I did watch our lady Jane and it was way too far in ridiculousness and I hated every second of the series. So all we have referencing Queen Jane is quite limited, and the story remains relatively forgotten and untold.
I could however speculate the entire history of Jacquetta up to Elizabeth I would make an incredible story and talking points.
For now, I only have the occasional documentaries and a few fiction stories. So I feel like I desperately need and want more stories.
