How are the portal shipping times rn? Ordered mine April 23, haven’t heard anything yet
I assumed because it was an “older” model that the delays wouldn’t be so bad but I fear I’m wrong

I hear that switch and PlayStation emulators work better on Linux is that true? What else is better or worse? Thanks!
I cannot have multiple handhelds, and I’m concerned the ergonomics on flip 2 will not work for my hands and my play style. So I wish I could find one for sale used near me so I could see it, hold it, maybe buy one for a deal. BUT NO. There are none for sale. Are they being snatched up or people just not selling them? Are they just less popular so there is less of them in the world? I see like 4 RP5’s for sale within an hour of me. What’s the deal???
I decided to sell my Odin 3 (which was hard) while it is a good device it’s not great (YET). The software really holds back this incredible hardware. Also I wasn’t thrilled with the hand comfort, it really needs a grip.initially I over looked all these things out of excitement for my new device. I realized this device is either over powered for emulation or underpowered (for the PC games I play). Since I have a gaming PC I decided to get a cheaper PC streaming device than can emulate too. I just ordered a base Odin 2 portal for about half what I paid for my Odin 3. I’m excited for a bigger screen, better hand feel(I ordered the grip this time) and longer battery life. Much better value for the dollar. Maybe I’ll upgrade in a year or 2 if Odin 3 portal comes out and steam compatibility/ driver support grows. The odin3 line will be incredible once the software improves and unleashes its true power. I wanted the Odin 3 to by my main device but it just can’t. The O2P will be a great companion device for my PC.
Side note: I spent a long time considering cheaper and more portable devices (that could still stream and emulate) like Retroid pocket 5, RP Flip 2, RP6. However, I just don’t see myself using the device like that. I’m more of a couch player, not on-the-go. Also with the current sale the value of the Portal is insane. I have a feeling it might be discontinued soon.
