I have an AYN Thor & I still find myself coming back to my Flip 2

As the title says, I got my AYN thor about a month ago and I thought it would be my "end game device", but I still find myself playing my flip 2 more. I do not know why that is considering the AYN thor is more powerful.

I guess after I got the Thor, I probably am not afraid of taking my Flip 2 with me outside and use it as an "every day carry" and it made me appreciate it more. I love this thing. So pocket-able, and the screen is just BEAUTIFUL. Currently finished Persona 4 Golden on Game native on my Flip 2 and it was beautiful.

bricked flip2?

Hi all,

I am hoping someone knows another recovery option for me here. Unfortunately I thought I'd take a go at getting linux/steam running on the flip2 (snapdragon version) and after flashing to change boot option it simply no longer does anything at all.

I was following this guide.

I got up to restarting after flashing and it just went black and unresponsive.

This step of linked guide - not far along really!

"With the new ROCKNIX ABL flashed onto your handheld, it’s now possible to proceed with the ROCKNIX installation.

Restart your handheld."

Each script run completed successfully and have the backup files, fat lot of good if I can't get it to turn on!

No recovery options I know work eg. power and volume down for lengths of time. Both volume buttons and power... holding power for a minute. Had 100% battery at time of death. Took apart and disconnected internal battery, waited a minute and reconnected. Still won't power on.

Very sad day though I knew this was a possibility when I begun this ill-fated and short lived adventure.

Any options I have missed? I tried removing the SD card of course.

On android im trying to run the Winlator frost forks I’ve heard it’s the best for certain games. However I have issues with changing turnip version.

As title states, trying to get frost up and running for a few games. Seems to be as is (just like it would be on normal Winlator), then I go to change the turnip version and it tells me network error even though I’m connected. Anyone have any ideas? I’m not sure the default one will be the best on all games I want.

How to run "Dishonored" on Flip 2 (Winlator)

Dishonored GOG Version on Winlator 10.1 V2

IMPORTANT NOTE:

🔴​starting up the game loads on a black screen for about a minute, don 't panic

🔴​start the game first in the ​"​Stability" preset and change graphics settings to low and gameplay/subtitle options as you please, with the custom preset that follows the game crashes when changing settings

I highly recommend running this in RETROID Performance mode with the Fan

I NEVER see used flip 2’s for sale in my area!

I cannot have multiple handhelds, and I’m concerned the ergonomics on flip 2 will not work for my hands and my play style. So I wish I could find one for sale used near me so I could see it, hold it, maybe buy one for a deal. BUT NO. There are none for sale. Are they being snatched up or people just not selling them? Are they just less popular so there is less of them in the world? I see like 4 RP5’s for sale within an hour of me. What’s the deal???

Salut tout le monde

Je voulais vous faire part de quelques choses que j’ai découvert.

J’ai rooté ma retroid pocket flip 2 avec magisk et j’ai maintenant pu utiliser le plein potentiel de la console (sans risque apparent)

J’ai accès aux 8Go de ram native, je peux utiliser 9 coeurs (contre 7 sans root), et je peux émuler l’équivalent d’une Nvidia GTX 1050i

La console devient une pure machine de guerre à ce stade là

Et au passage j’ai vu passer sur tiktok, n’achetez pas de configuration à des gens sur TikTok, tout les tutos sont présents ici, ou si vous avez besoin d’aide contacter des gens qui peuvent vous aider ou faites appel sur reddit

IMPORTANT NOTE:

🔴To fix audio issues use "Builtin Wine" under DirectSound tab in WIN COMPONENTS

🔴start the game first in either 720p or 800x600 and change graphics settings to low and gameplay/subtitle options as you please, with custom resolutions like 960x544 the game crashes when settings are changed

I highly recommend running this in RETROID Performance mode with the Fan
