A time before a backlit keyboard
Bezel downlight (ThinkLight, I've been informed) makes it possible to see where the mouse is in the dark, as well as the keys.

Any evidence of retail prices for the ze5400?
I'm guessing a lot of the web sites from that era didn't make it.
I've just been using this one from around 2004-2006 for data recovery and Nwipe on some IDE hard drives. Using a boot floppy (Plop) via the built in reader, to USB boot Q4OS. Closest to XP and runs nice.
Next project is to code on it for the Cardputer ADV and allow data transfer via the Ir ports between them.
Is £50 a year about right for computer depreciation? My £300 Chromebook did 6 years ago this £1000 20 year old workhorse is on target.
I've linked a wiki to allow automatic signing, using Kerberos, for members of an AD group. There is another group for the master admin. For £1.50 (from eBay) and a lot of time being careful I have now upgraded my T60 with a T7200 CPU and 240 GB SSD. 1 more GB RAM and battery to go.
Oh, I forgot the £7 thermal paste but I'll also be using that on 2 Nvidia Shields.
This is the final official BIOS update for the T60 that enables the leap from 32bit to 64bit CPU. I've just spent more on thermal paste than the CPU upgrade. If it goes well then RAM and battery will be next. Are there many of these still in use?
