finally made it down to jd flannel, and it surpassed my high expectations. for the month of april, they’re doing a bananas foster fritter that might be among the best donuts man has ever made. everything there was excellent, but that donut in particular was unbelievable. located in san juan capistrano (which is such a vibeeeeee). super easy day trip from la via the metrolink.

was looking forward to moo’s craft bbq burger for lunch, but the line was down the block so we made a return visit to park’s finest. bowls are $10 on friday (we got the coconut beef curry, delicious), and we added on the bibingka cornbread (outrageous) and mac and cheese (also excellent).
