Time to sell :(

197k miles, 40k miles done by me its officially posted so i probably wont be seeing the 200k milestone :(
My first 4x4 and i only went over-landing once😭.
Owned for quite a while and had multiple trips with all my friends across the states, north carolina was the most fun i loved the mountains and rocks to scale but DAMN this thing struggles to keep road speeds on an incline lol. But with these gas prices and the cost of school im moving down to a humble honda insight. I really dont want to sell it but we only have room for three cars in the driveway and it doesnt seem worth paying a storage unit fee for something i cant drive for atleast a few years. Its been the best of times and i hope the rest of you have had as much fun as i had. These things will always be my favorite car and i hope to be back with one later down the road.

If i unplug it now the dash still doesnt show any charge for the battery. Not sure how this works

Just picked this up! Time to get it ready to daily. Advice appreciated

2002 Honda Insight. 241,000 miles. Payed $1100.

I have had many hondas and toyotas and know my way around working on a car. But this is my first hybrid and id like to fix it up the right way.

Brakes are pretty shot but the guy had the trunk FULL of new parts, nearly an entire new brake system so thats really convenient.

Two issues besides that is the IMA light is on and the hybrid battery light is depleted. The rear has a power-supply and a cable, i have limited research on this but i assume if i plug it in itll recharge it?

The second issue is that it does drive on the gas engine alone but at about 4k rpm it looses power and the rpms start pulsing, similar to how some hondas act in limp mode. Not sure if this car has that feature.

Check engine light and battery light are on so ill have to diagnose that too. I have my work cut out for me but i think its definitely saveable.
