Price of beef is maybe bit above $10 per kg, but according to my research most of the population barely make $200 per month. theres rent, utilities and all that. How are people genuinely surving? Why isnt there a fair minimum wage?

20M studying Mechanical Engineering in UIUC. I think I am gonna fail my Dynamics and Differential Equations class. My parents are paying my entire tuition + rent and food. I have no idea how to show my face to them after I go back home this summer. I can already hear what amma and abba are gonna yell at my face.....
