Need help getting 8 track working, it lights up when I put a 8 track in but won’t play, and the record player might work but when I switch the levers nothing happens. If anyone can point me in the right direction to fix it that be great, I don’t really know much more about

I’m pretty new to film so I hope this is the right place to ask but I loaded the film like normal put a new battery in and the screen lit up but nothing happens when I press the power button or any other button is their something else im supposed to do or is it just broken (bought it a few days ago from a thrift shop and it’s not my first film camera but it’s my first one with a screen)
