This is my first wipe weekend and it's crazy out there!

I've only been playing about a month, so I'm not wiping, but I've seen some crazy stuff tonight from across the entire spectrum. From super awesome people giving me cores and BPs at my first and second Queen fight, to fully kitted extraction campers (got knocked by a Tempest while trying to leave), to full on griefers, like the dude on Stella that killed me, defib, kill me again, defib again, and then we knocked each other, while he trapped me against a corner and bragged that he's been doing this stuff all night, and how he threw a bunch of showstoppers into a crowd fighting a matriarch. ..and then convinced someone nearby that he was the victim (and they believed him).

I can't even really be that mad (except maybe that last guy.. he was an ass).

Apparently, it's a full moon over Toledo tonight, so be careful and maybe pack light.

The Anvil is weird

I think I figured out where that +50% burn rate came from. The bullet has to do a little curve as it leaves the chamber and enters the barrel. This is a bit of a problem, even for a junkyard space gun.

I'm not mad. I'm disappointed.

..and a little amused.

I was on City, looking for kitchen cabinets in my usual care bear lobby. Just a light load out of an anvil, healing items, stims, and a stack of t-nades, that's really for killing leapers if I feel like killing a leaper.

I'm in the lower east corner of the map, away from the main area, heading to a building with suspected cabinets, and a hornet is hanging around between me and my destination. I take it down, and as I'm running into the building, aka cover, I take a few rapid fire tickle shots in the back. My honest first thought was that I had missed a wasp, but it didn't quite feel right. I turn around, and sure enough, there's some free kit goof shooting at me with his stitcher 1, through the door, from like 30m away. I book it out the back and around the corner, thinking/hoping surely this guy isn't dumb enough to pursue. He was dumb enough to pursue.

Not really wanting to get into it, I decided to try to lose him. I run through some buildings, turn some random corners, and lay low to heal up for a minute. As soon as I move, he finds me. Again, shooting from 2 blocks away.

This time, I think I'll just go to the other side of the map. No way he's going to be that persistent. I head to the west end of the map, doing some zigging and zagging, pick a building to hide in, while sneaking past a comet on the other side of the street. I pick a 2nd story room, next to a closed window, to again lay low and heal up.

This guy finds my hiding spot, again starts shooting from the next room over. I'm seriously wondering if this guy had a wall hack, but whatever. I have time to open the window and jump out, but I misclick and it takes an extra second. I'm down to 10% health before I get out. He's chasing again, of course. I toss a t-nade behind me as I land to slow him down, and it buys me an extra second to run at the comet and aggro it. It takes the bait! I jump into a nearby open window and behind the wall just in time for the angry comet to switch aggro onto my pursuer. KABOOM!

I don't know if it knocked him. I didn't hang around to find out. I didn't care. I headed straight for a hatch and left, because he had already wasted all of my precious cabinet searching time for that round.

My take aways are this..

As usual, people who try to ambush in PvE lobbies are not good enough to hang in PvP, by and large. The majority of my aggressive encounters in PvE are people being obviously sketch.. and dumb.

Pursuing someone that breaks line of sight is pants on head stupid, and at any point I could have set a trap and messed this guy up. I was just having fun with a game of cat and mouse, once I realized what was up, and tried to get ark to do the dirty work.

Cheating is for true losers. I can't prove that this guy was. It's possible he was just lucky and tenacious, but I want to put that out there.

Don't bother me when I'm shopping for cabinets.
