Honestly, i feel I’ve been reading way too many dark psychological thrillers which is why this book just did not hit the spot for me.

I felt the mc was too full of herself. She had the outlook that the whole world would collapse if she would not be there to save it. I mean, she just felt like a child throwing a tantrum in front of the professionals when not given enough attention by the adults. But, somehow, the story played into that which did not pinch any realistic nerves.

Again, it maybe because I have only read dark fiction till now.

Controversial opinion: her personality gave pick me behaviour.

On the contrary, this book has great literature. It does feel like a children book though.

It has a wide spectrum of idioms and is also full of wit. There were some parts that made me laugh. And my idioms knowledge is better than before.

However, I did not like the one-lined transition between scenes in some scenarios (eg: when Brittany went to get her stuff and the next line is she was back) Idt it held any significance.

And sometimes, the mc just felt really dumb to me because she would not follow up to clues that were right there in front of her. (eg: at the start of the book, Althea speaks about Russell but the mc never thought about it) (eg: the Saturday or Sunday confusion that she never confronted Marcus about)

Opinions?
