Not a JPMC employee, but my firm is enforcing 5 day RTO starting tomorrow. I live about 50 mins away, 1.5 hours with rush hour traffic. Parking is not free, salary was not increased, and that is 15 hours a week in the car. How has it been for you guys? Is it as bad as I am expecting it to be?

EDIT: I was hired fully remote, it says that on my offer letter. I have been fully remote for over a year now, but come into the office maybe once a month when my manager, coworkers in the area, and myself plan to. Going from fully remote to fully downtown seems like a nightmare to me

PNC RTO is officially one week away. How are yinz doing? How are the conversations with your managers going? Are you looking for new jobs? Are you at all looking forward to coming back in?

When they announced this in January, I was like ah, it’s so far away. They’ll change their minds by then and the mandate would be more relaxed than people think. After all, they have tried RTO a few times in the past and it hasn’t worked. Now that we are a week away, I am dreading going in 5 days a week. I can kind of understand where the executives are coming from by bringing us back in, but 5 days a week just seems like a massive F you, and a big power trip situation. I’ll have about an hour and a half commute each way, just to get on the same team’s calls I get on at my house. No one should be shocked when performance and efficiency drops.
