Will I have time to see Paddington?

I am doing the Salkantay Trek with Salkantay Trekking later this year in October. My only question is will I have enough time in Aguas Calientes to see the Paddington statue? I know we stay in a hotel in the town that night, but need to make sure I can see the little guy!

Forerunner 165 Questions

Hello Garmin enjoyers. I am a current Apple Watch user, but my Apple Watch SE is now ancient, and the logical thing seems to be making the switch to a higher quality product. I don’t need the Apple Watch for its compatibility with my iPhone, I only use it for exercise.

My questions on the forerunner 165 are centered around its use for non-running activities. I got my gf one last year and she loves it for running.

1.) How well does this work for non-running exercise? Specifically weight lifting and hiking (I am doing a 5 day semi-off grid trek this October and want to see if this will hold up for that)

2.) What is the battery life like? I see that gps vs smartwatch mode has it at 11 days or 20 hours, so I guess I am just wondering what the difference is in those. Will I be able to have it in smartwatch mode while tracking my trek data?

Thank you!

Can you give me your honest thoughts?

I have a simple question. What do Irish people think of Americans born an Irish parent? What do you think of these Americans referring to themselves as Irish or Irish American?

For context my mum is from Sligo, I have been twice a year since I was a baby, and have an Irish passport.

Hello. I (22F) am not a solo traveler, but have come here to seek understanding and another perspective on my situation.

For context, my Bf (22M) loves to travel. We graduated college last year and he went on a huge European tour for 40 days, went to Amsterdam this January, and has plans to go to Peru and Switzerland later this year. Recently, I have started to feel differently about these trips. I have never been a traveler, and I think telling him that led him to not consider me when booking those two trips for later in the year. I also am a teacher, so I have strict vacation schedules, and want him to consider when I can take trips with him more seriously.

I have started to tell him that I am willing to exit my comfort zone and go on some trips with him, as long as they are planned around my set breaks that is.

I understand he has vacation days to use whenever he wants, but I would rather him take those days in the summer with me, doing things close to home. Also, just for the record, I know he’s not out there cheating on me or anything. That’s not him.

My questions/thoughts are here. Is it ok for me to feel resentment towards him for going on these life changing experiences alone? Is it ok to feel this way when I didn’t show any interest in them previously? Is it ok to tell him that I don’t understand why he would want to do these things on his own? Is it ok to tell him to wait to do these things?

Thank you in advance, I know it is a lot, but I really need a separate point of view on this!

My questions are here. Is it ok for me to feel resentment towards him, especially going on these trips through the mountains in Peru to Machu Picchu alone? Is it ok to feel this way when I didn’t show any interest in them previously? Is it ok to tell him that I don’t understand why he would want to do these things on his own? Is it ok to tell him to wait to do these things?

I (22M) am about 40% of the way to 100k invested. I am still living at home for the next few months, until I move out in September, am trying my best to invest heavily, but with the S&P at such a catastrophically high value right now, I get worried to put my money into any fund in my brokerage. Is there something better than VOO right now, or should I just continue to put $500/week into VOO and just forget about it.

I want to use my brokerage to buy a house in 6-8 years if that helps.

Hello! I am looking to do the Salkantay trek in October and want to book a guided tour if I am doing it, but the issue is I am having trouble booking it for someone going solo. Is there a recommended guided tour company I can do it solo with? Thank you.

My simple question is can I register for a guided salkantay trek, specifically with alpaca expeditions? On their site it said you need more than one person to register, but I have heard of people doing this solo.

Hello! I (22M) am wondering about the fitness level needed for the Salkantay trek. I ran a half marathon last year, and will be training for another that I plan to do shortly after my visit to Cusco. Will I be able to complete the trek without altitude training? Should I be pushing for more in my training? Be brutally honest, I’ve seen all sorts of reviews for fitness level but need the truth!
