This is a hunting holster for my S&W .44 model 29 mountain gun .Just wanted to say how impressed I am with this Galco holster. It fits my model 29 like a glove. Smooth as can be. Thanks, Galco.

A few comments and observations…. I sold an older model blued model 29 mountain gun and purchased this stainless steel model. I was hesitant at first because of all the horror stories on YouTube about quality control issues at S&W. However, I inspected this gun carefully and it showed no flaws. Also, I noticed that the new trigger pull is MUCH smoother than the older models. I think S&W was getting whooped by Colt. Glad to see they spent time tweaking trigger weight and pull. Makes a big difference. FYI, I changed out the Tyler Gun Works grips that came with this gun for the Altomonte grips. These grips are easier for me to hold. Don’t get me wrong, the Tyler Gun Works grips are beautiful. Just a bit too beefy for me. Any comments? Thanks.

I took this advertisement for a Colt Detective revolver to my local gun shop and asked if they would match the price. He said no. 🤨
