Nieuwe EV-rijder hier. Rij sinds kort een Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor (2021) en we gaan in juni met onze baby naar de buurt van La Rochelle op de camping. Tot nu toe laad ik alleen thuis, dus nul ervaring met publiek laden.

De reis: ongeveer 2500 km totaal (heen, terug, +/- 600 km dagritjes). Camping heeft een Virta-punt. Onderweg kom ik volgens ABRP ENGIE Vianeo, Freshmile, Allego, bp pulse, Ionity en TotalEnergies tegen.

Wat ik al heb: ANWB pas, Shell Recharge, Polestar Charge app, en een Fulli tolbadge (die bieden ook een laadpas aan).

Een paar vragen waar ik op vastloop:

1. Wat is jullie go-to combi voor FR? Ik twijfel tussen Fulli Elec erbij (€2,50/mnd, geen commissie) of het Polestar Charge abonnement (€13,99/mnd met 30% korting op o.a. Ionity en Allego).

2. Hoe kies je ter plekke met welke pas je laadt? Gewoon Chargemap openen en zien wat goedkoopst is, of doe je dat vooraf?

3. Routeplanner: ABRP Premium, Google Maps of de ingebouwde Polestar-nav? Is Premium die €5 waard voor zo'n trip?

4. Werkt een Europese pas meestal gewoon bij een Virta-paal op een camping, of moet ik daar op rekenen dat alleen de Virta-app werkt?

5. Volgens mij kan ik ook laden bij Tesla Superchargers, maar die laat ABRP niet zien. Hoe werkt dat precies, en is het de moeite waard?

6. Dingen die je achteraf wou dat je had geregeld?

I’m a new owner of a Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor Launch Edition (MY2021). The car is great, and I know it already has a lot of features from the factory, but there are a few things I’d like to improve. I’ve been reading about OrBitand I’m trying to understand what it can actually add or change compared to the standard software on a 2021 Launch Edition.

1. Pilot Assist hand detection
   The hand‑on‑wheel detection is very strict. It warns me within seconds, even when I’m clearly holding the wheel.
   Can OrBit make this less sensitive (or fully gone lol), and if so, what is it actually changing on top of the stock setup?

2. Curve Speed Assist
   What is this feature exactly, and what is it adding compared to the standard Pilot Assist on a 2021 Launch Edition (im from europe)?

3. Automated parking / traffic‑jam‑like assist
   Is there any way to add automated parking or traffic‑jam‑style features (steering + braking) that the car doesn’t have from the factory, or is it mostly just small tweaks? It already drives nice in traffic. Only from standstill you need to push the throttle. Is this different?

4. Other tweaks
   What “quality of life” changes actually work on this model?
   For example: making the indicator flash 5 times on a quick tap instead of 3, or anything else (driving modes, mirrors, rear‑light settings) that meaningfully differs from stock.

Who has used orbit on a Polestar 2 2021 Launch Edition or with pilot plus? I’d appreciate a clear idea of what’s genuinely different from the factory software, and what’s not worth the risk and money.
