Anyone's ever faced new onset nerve hypersensitivity and deep inflammation due to a serum?
I'm not talking about surface barrier damage, but deep soreness sensitively and burning and a stabbing pain after applying a serum? I applied the Azelia IGLO serum containing n butyl resorcinol, niacinamide, PAD and Alpha arbutin. On the third day my skin on the right sided cheeks started burning like hell and by the fourth day the left cheek. The pain of the right cheek was self limited but the left side went on so much so that I couldn't sleep at night and since I'm a medical doctor myself, I took an oral montelukast cetrizine pill. The burning and stinging went away slowly, i repaired my barrier with asterura atobarrier cream and LRP cicaplast baume. When I started feeling normal 20 days later, i introduced the tony moly mochi ceramide toner thinking it would heal my barrier along with the ordinary multiple peptide serum, dear lord, the same reaction resurfaced but only on the left side(the right side had healed and didn't have any lingering sensitivity) are my nerves gonna be this hypersensitive permanently now wherein I can't do skincare or even basic make up? I had mildly injured my skin barrier once before but it was nothing like this so this seems more like a dermatitis kinda situation. My skin looks visible fine, no dryness or flaking, no redness but I did break out after the first major irritation.
