Hi,

I’m purchasing a car from the owner. She is selling it urgently because of her financial situation. The problem is I have everything ready except a residence certificate which I need to get from immigration and then it will take a couple of days to process apparently. She’s suggested providing me with all of the signed transfer papers and ownership book when I pick up the car and then filing all the documents myself. Is this common? I asked a colleague and they did the same thing with their car so I’m not sure if it’s pretty standard. I’m just worried there will be issues when I go to file the papers. I’d appreciate any insight.
