I am a lucky fish

Been focusing on the YFM series and have been really lucky with some blind pulls from Pop Mart and amazon. Since then I've been playing it safe and buying the dolls second hand from Mecari. I got Pranky Peanut for a steal at 12 dollars and Ghostie and Chomp came as a bundle for 45 TOTAL! Authentic and absolute pristine condition! I couldn't be happier! Only need Cerberus, Darkness, and Buddy now.

Punk Panda Restock?

Hey, I've gotten into collecting Skull Panda quite recently and I've been seeing Punk Panda everywhere, she's so gorgeous! She's currently out of stock on the official website. I'm just wondering, if Popmart will restock her or was it just a very limited release? I've seen a bunch of listings on second hand marketplaces that mark her up £20+ I don't want to rush in to buying her If I can buy her from the official site later on. Thanks in advance!

My girls!

Vacationing in NJ my mom and I were shopping and happened across a Pop Mart store, neither of us had ever heard of it before🤔 INSTANTLY fell in love with Skullpanda, esp the figurines! We had to have them and now we’re obsessed with having more! Unfortunately even the closest vending machine is over 2h away from where I live, so I’m really excited to join an online community that loves them too!!

Just wanted to vent about what happened and how someone I trusted broke my beloved My Melody Skullpanda pendant.

Today, someone who I thought was my friend threw my bag into their trunk when I had my back turned - and I mean they chucked it, hard, like those viral videos of UPS workers throwing fragile boxes hard. As a result, my skullpanda pendant, which was attached to my bag, had her lips chipped off badly, like not just the paint, but a chunk of the hard plastic.

Fair to say, when I found out later (after getting out of their car), I was emotionally crushed. I had to buy her off of eBay because there was no way I could afford her at full market price, because im a college student and I pay for my own phone/food/bills and I work minimum wage. I loved her so much, and I only had her for a month.

I showed them what happened, and while they looked kinda sorry, they said that wouldn't help me buy a new one bc they needed their money for other stuff this month.

I'm devastated. I had bought a protective casing for her, buts its still in shipping....Im so sad. The My Melody Skullpanda is my favorite, and I got her as a celebratory thing for getting a 4.0 GPA and getting on the president's list. And now I feel like it was pointless. Financially....I won't be able to replace her for a while.

Im sad.

To be clear - I AM NOT USING THIS POST ON THIS SUB TO ASK TO BUY ANYTHING. JUST VENTING ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED.

UPDATE: An incredibly kind redditor named trashpanda7117 has reached out to me and allowed me to buy a new my melody pendant from them. They had proof it was legit and showed me photos. They even threw in another skullpanda out of the kindness of their heart. Im incredibly thankful.

If anyone has an idea of what to do with my damaged one, id be grateful. She was well loved for the time i had her and id rather her not go to waste so... anyone wanting a secondhand skullpanda to customize feel free to holler in the comments. I want to make this a happy ending.

On the First Try!

Hi everyone!!! A new popmart opened at a mall I frequent and my uncle offered to buy two skullpanda blind boxes for me!

I love all the series, but I’ve been dying to get my hands on the new Petals in Four Acts since I heard of it a month before release! And I finally got ittt!

My uncle said one is for my sister (who isn’t very interested in popmart), but I didn’t want to be greedy about it so I left one for her to open when she visits our hometown again.

When we were picking out the boxes, I remembered that the budding fate figure is said to be the heaviest and so my uncle helped me weigh all the boxes in store!

And as you guys can guess, when I opened the heaviest one lo and behold I got THE BUDDING FATE! I’m obviously obsessed with her. Purple is my ABSOLUTE favorite color and when I saw her on the packaging, I knew I had to have her!

I’m so happy! One popmart opened up in a mall accessible to me and two I got the figure I wanted.

Obviously I want them all now, but I am unfortunately out of money and unemployed so I’ll have to save it for next semester when I start my tutoring job!

What are your favorites and do you love her as much as I do?

Note: I feel like my pictures don’t do justice for her, I spent like three hours at the mall shopping with my family and I was just so tired I didn’t really put much effort into the pictures. Have a lovely Saturday evening~

Snow White Skullpanda

I cannot fully describe how happy I am to have pulled off this Jurassic level feat of doll customization. I fear I have girlbossed too close to the sun.😆

This sweet Snow White is part of a full set of Skullpanda Disney princess customs that a wonderful client commissioned from me, and I am so excited to finally start sharing them.

Snow White, along with the other 6 dolls in the set, took almost two months total to complete. At this point, very little of the original doll remains untouched. Every single step was a mission.

A huge, gigantic thank you to my doll mentor u/odette_kingsley for teaching me everything about stripping base paint, properly fitting custom hair molds into doll faces, and for collaborating on the hair molds themselves.

For Snow White’s hair, the original hair plate had to be completely removed. (Honestly, I couldn't even tell you who's under there anymore. It might be Pond?) Then all of the old grooves left behind had to be filled with epoxy sculpt, sanded smooth, and prepped before painting. It was… a lot. A magical lot, but still a lot.

And before anyone says, “Wait, didn’t Snow White have brown eyes?” Yes! Yes, she did. But I thought Applejack’s apple eyes gave her the perfect “under the apple’s spell” effect and added something a little different. Space balls also courtesy of Apple Jack.

To those who have the full set, Without the influence of others, who do y'all think looks and feel better in person?

I know the majority will pick the caddy spoon but many says she looks/feels so plastic in person compared to the knife rest who has a more refined quality. Is this true?
