I went turn on the remote AC and noticed the app is glitching and was all in German.

I can't help but laugh at how this car and the app never work properly. Only two more months with the car.

I've been enjoying my new iX60 and realizing how stupidly fast it is. I also got to borrow an i7 M70 for a weekend.

The differences between the iX60 and iXM70 are about 100hp and a few hundred pound feet of torque. It's achieved by a stronger rear motor. Same thing applies with the i7 60 vs the M70. However, that extra power is available only in sport mode/launch control (and with the i7 the boost paddle). Normal driving they all have about the same power available on tap.

When you're already spending $100,000+, it just doesn't make much sense to me to have all that extra power on tap reducing range.

Buuuut the iXM70 does have a lower MF this month, and it comes standard with DHP, which is almost impossible to find right now in the regular iX.

This post might not be very popular here, but this is for people researching what new premium German EV SUV to buy.

I'm going to focus only on lease numbers since it's more popular with EVs and German luxury cars.

I'm a current/previous Q6 and A6 e-tron owner. My Q6 failed within a few hundred miles with a failed steering gear and had other safety issues like the door locks not working, digital key never worked, nor plug and charge. The car was bought back by VW.

My A6 is also being bought back. The hatch never worked on it. It wouldn't always open and wouldn't close. KD2 sort of fixed that but also broke the cruise control.

To replace the Q6 I got a fully loaded iX xdrive60. Despite the almost $30,000 price difference, the BMW is cheaper to lease than a Q6 would have been. Audi essentially ended all support for the Q6 and A6 e-tron after the tax credit expired. Residuals were in the crapper and MF rates went through the roof.

For May 2026 BMWFS is offering a base MF on the iX45 at 0.0008 and a 53% residual. The iX60 is the same 53% but a MF of 0.0009.

For comparison a 2027 Q6 Premium Plus has a 49% residual and a MF 0.00162, or... almost double the interest rate on an iX45.

Oh, and for the month of May (and previous months), BMW is offering $7500 lease cash....

So let's compare a 2026 BMW iX45 with an MSRP of $89,945 and importantly includes BMW's Driving Assistance Professional Package which allows hands off highway driving up to 85 MPH.

$0 DAS without tax, 10k miles a year, 36 months, with a 5%* discount off MSRP: $968 per month before tax, title, licensing, and sales tax.

Compared to a 2027 Q6 Premium Plus at $76,310.00. $0 DAS without tax, 10k miles a year, 36 months, with a 5% discount off MSRP: $1,179per month before tax, title, licensing, and sales tax.

*Most BMW dealers do 8-12% off MSRP on the iX. I got 12% off my iX60. Expect a lower discount on the 45 vs the 60.

But damn it, I do miss the frunk. And the dual charging ports with powered doors.

I was looking to order a BMW but apparently rated haven't been lockable for the last few months.

Has BMWFS changed that for the month of May?

I'm selling a brand new set of roof rails for the Q6/SQ6. The rails never got used and sat in the box.

The rails are brand new and I never even put on the rubber protector thingy.

The security key is included.

I have them all boxed up and ready to ship. Shipping with UPS Ground should be under $90 fully insured. Local pick up available in Ventura, SB, or north LA County.

Asking price is $300 before shipping or any seller fees. If I ship the item we can do the transaction through PayPal for buyer protection.
