30oz Stanley in iX cupholders?

My wife is picking up her new to her 2024 CPO black sapphire BMW iX xDrive 50 this evening with sport package, convenience package, luxury package and active drivers assistant pro with the incredible 1.9% for 72 month deal. She is on a health kick and brings her 40oz Stanley cup everywhere with her to stay hydrated. Will it fit in the front cupholders? She’s coming from a Lexus RX 500h that accommodated it easily. If not any recommendations for aftermarket offset inserts for the cupholders? Thanks!

Well, that sucks

Not even a month into ownership, and my iX gets stabbed in the door by a Uhaul truck. An estimate puts this in the ~$6,500 range to repair, because the entire door needs to be replaced.

Dog approved IX

Travall dog barrier, this is the seventh car I’ve had them in, but one of the more annoying ones to get in. So this will probably just stay in for life of vehicle. It’s not an easy in and out like our ID.4

Canvasback cargofloor/seatbacks/side panels and load guard.

I’ve also added a Stealth Hitch, tow wiring, and had paint correction and ceramic coating.

For the time being (while I wait for Polestar lease to run out) it’s just been sitting. But in my limited time with it, I’m pretty damn impressed.

bought just the silicon/rubber blade bit off eBay cost about £12..for two..took the old ones out slide in new ones. about a 5 minute job..no nasty smeering now. Car is 2022 a year with me so maybe 4 years old blades.

Love our new iX

I was lucky enough to be able to get my hands on this beautiful 2026 iX M70 last week thanks to the help of my client advisor at Circle BMW. I had one on order before BMW cancelled production and my rep was resourceful enough to find this one for us! This is my second iX, the first, a Blue Ridge Mountain M60, is also in the attached photos.
I cannot say enough about how much I love these cars.

Finally found our IX

2023 iX from our local dealer.

Happy with our deal, they wanted $43k for a CPO with 51k miles on it, and another $3k to extend the CPO by 2 years. I told them I wanted it for $43k with the extended CPO and they agreed. Ended up paying $45k though and a 4 year CPO!

Loaded. Sport pkg, Castanea Chestnut leather, Premium pkg w/B&W diamond stereo, air suspension, rear steering, radiant heat, massaging & ventilated seats, Icon LED, pretty much everything except for the one item we really wanted, DAP but we don’t do much highway driving. Original sticker was $105k.

We love it!

Buy a CPO 2024 now or wait ?

Hi Guys. I am strongly considering buying a 2024 CPO Xdrive 50.
I have been seeing some around 48k with $48k miles and 50k for 35k plus miles.
I need DAPP and Premium / convenience package for that HK system ( B/o would be nice but it’s been impossible to find one unless it’s a M60).
Two questions

  1. Would prices come down a couple grand if i wait towards end of year ?
  2. Is it reasonable to ask for a extra 2 years on CPO at the same listing price ?

Context:
I currently drive a 2024 outback Touring XT and absolutely hate their eyesight and it got me into two rear ends with kids inside. Have $5k left on the loan and it ends in September. Carmax shows $30k offer and Private party could he $34k.

I came from a 2018 Audi A5 so i am not that new to german ownership.

MyBMW Alexa Skill "Retired"? WTF

I tried to turn on the heat in my iX via Alexa and she tells me "the MyBMW skill has been retired. Please use the MyBMW mobile app". What's up with that?

Does anyone know of any other way to control the car via automation? I know this sound like the most first-worldish problem ever, but hear me out- I'm a volunteer firefighter. When we get an emergency dispatch in the middle of the night, I have a Flic button set up at my bedside- it turns on the bedroom light, and simultaneously starts the ventilation in the iX. That's really nice that in the 60-90 seconds it takes me to get dressed and get to the car it's already a little warm (or cool, but that's not nearly as needed). It's an emergency response, so I'm not going to stop and open my phone and authenticate, then open the myBMW app and then authenticate on THAT, and then press the button to turn on the heat. The one-button routine was PERFECT. I need to figure out another automation path now...

And this is not new-to-the-iX functionality for me, albeit a bit different. I've had this for 30 or so years with different vehicles using remote start. I built a relay box that was triggered by a "tone box" used in the fire service- that has a switched AC outlet that activates when we are dispatched (basically the real use case for that is a lamp). My relay box had a car remote built in and would send the proper button pushes on a remote control to remote start the vehicle. Granted the downsides to that were that the car would start EVERY time we had a call (even if I was not a home but my car was, or if I was unable to make the call).

So now I need to figure out another automation path...sigh.

Stealth Hitch on a Leaser

I’m getting ready to sign a lease for a ‘26 xdrive45. My wife and I do a lot of biking trips so a hitch is an absolute requirement. I spoke with Stealth customer support who said that installation required a small section of the bumper to be cut out but it was not visible unless you lie under the car.

Has anyone han an aftermarket Stealth hitch installed and then removed at lease end, and was it detected at the inspection and did it trigger a penalty?

BMW iX xDrive60 CPO lease quote — $1,059/mo in PNW. People getting $700s elsewhere. What am I missing?

Hey leasehacker community — looking for help validating a lease quote I received today on a 2026 iX xDrive60 CPO service loaner from a dealer in Oregon.

**The car:**
- 2026 BMW iX xDrive60 (CPO, service loaner)
- 1,489 miles
- Aventurin Red / Oyster interior
- DA Professional Package, Climate Comfort Package, Premium Package
- 21" Aero Bicolor wheels, all-season tires
- No Dynamic Handling Package (air suspension)

**The quote (attaching redacted worksheet):**
- Selling price: $86,098
- Rebate applied: $7,500
- Adjusted price: $78,598
- $0 down / 36 months / 12,000 miles/year: **$1,059/month**
- Acquisition fee: $925
- Located in Oregon (no state sales tax)

**What I keep seeing online:**
People on this sub and leasehackr posting signed deals in the $700-800/month range on the xDrive45 and even some 60s. I get that those may be California deals with state EV credits, or different specs, but the gap feels large.

**What I don't know from this quote:**
- The money factor (not disclosed — is it at buy rate or marked up?)
- The residual percentage being used
- Whether MSDs are available on a CPO unit

**My questions for the community:**

  1. What's the current buy rate MF and residual for a CPO iX60 on a 36/10k or 36/12k lease?
  2. Is $86,098 a reasonable selling price for this car or is there more room to negotiate?
  3. Are MSDs available on CPO/service loaner units?
  4. Am I being gouged on the money factor, or is $1,059 genuinely where the market is in the Pacific Northwest?
  5. What would a fair all-in monthly look like on this specific car?

I'm based in Oregon, currently leasing a 2023 Tesla Model Y (conquest credit should apply), Tier 1 credit. Open to 10,000 miles/year if that helps the residual.

Appreciate any insight — trying to figure out if this is negotiable to the $800-850 range or if I should just go back to Tesla.

How many of y'all getting one? Our lease is up in two years so will be looking for one with air suspension when it's finally added, but curious how many of us are swapping.

Home charging not working

Leased a 2026 iX 60 last week, previously a service loaner. I have a wallbox L2 charger connected via Nema 14-50 outlet in a 50Amp breaker. Bmw software updated to the latest version

1st day Car set at 48A limit and Wallbox at 40A limit. Charges at 7.3kwh from around 20-55%

Next day it stops after an hour or so and trips the breaker.

After that it isn't charging at all.

My diagnosis -

Tried reducing the power to 32A/16A - no luck. Just getting a blinking red light with 'Grid power too low' error.

Next tried with the onboard charger connected to the Nema outlet - Same error.

Then tried with level 1 120v outlet - Same error

Took the car to a nearby EvGO charger to try DC fast charging. Same error

Next day I took the car to a nearby dealership and dropped off. They have the chargepoint fast charging and everything works normally in it and they just return the car saying no other issues.

Now I tried again at home with 32A and no luck.

I called the electrician to check the ground/neutral and confirmed 240v in the outlet and everything looks good. He has a Ford F150 EV and wallbox charges it without any issues.

I heard about CCU issues in EX90. Is this a common issue in IX too ? Could this be related to the most recent software update ?

I'm suspecting that the dealer did not diagnose the issue fully and returned the car.

Looking for guidance.

It's looks

Love the cars, how they drive, how they handle, the power. I just haven't been able to get over how they look since they launched. I want to like them but I think BMW got a little too edgy and the futuristic look of evs. People hate on the i4 also but I love those things. The split lights of the x7 and 7 series even grew on me. These just have not managed to hit for me.

I'm posting this in the BMWiX Forum because I know a lot of you care about the future of and want the right EV vehicle. For context, I have a 2024 iX50 that I have loved and it's coming off of lease in January. I've invested $4K in putting a charger in my garage and like the handling, torque, and styling of a lot of EVs so don't think I'm going back to ICE or hybrid. There are no great easy "no brainer" paths forward with BMW I've concluded but will probably lease another one anyway as a "transition vehicle:"

* Why did BMW kill the iX platform? It was a true EV platform and perhaps the natural successor is the iX5 but it's not Neue Klasse like the iX3 (which is a smaller car than the iX).

* No matter what BMW I get next, it will simply be a "transitional car" until we can get a true iX5 type variant on the Neue Klasse platform. The CLAR platform of the upcoming iX5 means a higher floor tunnel, less flat floor space, and a cabin that doesn't maximize the EV packaging advantage the way a purpose-built EV platform would like the iX or the iX3 but it will be fast and have fast charging.

* So my options really are the 2026 iX45 (100HP less but $20K less - might be the answer for now), iX60 which is discontinued and last year, iX3 (Neue Klasse smaller but new platform), or iX5 tweener depending upon when they become available.

* As long as I am venting, why is the US running away from EVs? This is insane.

* Chinese EV maker BYD (which sells more cars than Tesla) just announced a 1,000 HP 4 seater convertible that will go 0-60 in under 2 seconds for $41K. It will be sold everywhere but the US including Europe, Canada, and Mexico - but you cannot bring one to the US.

* The US is dominating with AI investments but we can't be the tech leaders in EVs????????

Driver side door

I am considering buying a BMW iX and while I was researching one tester said when you close the drivers side door it makes your left leg uncomfortable and invades the space a little.

I have not heard or seen anyone else say this . I cannot test drive the car locally as they seem to be out of stock.

Would love to hear comments before I purchase one.
