Is this normal? New hire comp vs existing posting at same company?

Accepted offer at a new company. The band was ($70-115k) + bonus + sign-on + benefits. Negotiated up from there so felt good about it.

Now a nearly identical role at the same company just posted at $80-125k + bonus + \*\*equity\*\* + benefits. My offer had no equity. Company is pre-IPO with real IPO buzz.

Questions:

  1. Is it worth asking about equity before my start date?
  2. Is this normal or did I get lowballed?
  3. How would you handle this?

Feel like I negotiated well with the info I had but the goalposts moved on me.

Hey everyone, planning a cross-country move from Boston to SLC and trying to figure out the best way to ship my 2025 Accord (standard sedan).

A few questions for anyone who’s done this route or something similar:
1. Who did you use? I’ve been looking at Montway, Sherpa, RoadRunner, and SAKAEM — any direct experience with these on a long haul?

2.	What did you actually pay? I’m seeing quotes all over the place — anywhere from $1,000 to $2,500. Trying to figure out what’s realistic for open transport on \~2,400 miles.

3.	Open vs. enclosed — I know enclosed is for high-value cars, so I’m leaning open. Anything I should worry about on this specific route (weather through Wyoming/Utah in spring)?

4.	Any red flags or broker horror stories? I’ve read about bait-and-switch pricing where the quote jumps at pickup?

Timing-wise, I’m flexible in May/June. Trying to book 3–4 weeks out. Appreciate any firsthand experience?

Hello redditors!

I am moving to the West coast from the East Coast. I have received two options for relocation packages and need to pick one. I just wanted to check here if someone had a similar experience recently.

They have given me two options: "supported move" and "lump sum". Here are the details:

  1. Lump Sum: One-time cash payment of USD

  2. Supported Move:

    1. Final Travel to New Location: Covers flights, Uber, and extra baggage

From this, it seems like the supported move is the better choice since it offers more value than the lump sum. My confusion is: what would be the reason to choose the lump sum instead of the supported move? What am I missing?

Current situation: Female, No family, no pets, share a 2b/2b and have a car
