Adventures of Frogbert
Hi! I recently saw a post about the cutest little frog named Frogbert, and I needed to write a bit of his story. I really hope this reaches the illustrator as I would love to collaborate with them on this project (I'm not a professional author/writer, just a lover of prose and also Frogbert). Here's what I have so far, based on the presentation of the project which was linked in the original post:
Frogbert’s never been this far from home.
He’s scared to have to cross the creaky bridge.
He’s never been the kind who loves to roam.
But, feeling brave, he hops from ridge to ridge.
Towards the summit he climbs higher still.
Hopping on the mushrooms’ spongey caps.
Hoping to see far, from on the hill.
He’ll spot a new home from above, perhaps.
Now he lets the river carry him,
as he searches for a newfound home.
Admiring the fishes as they swim,
he wonders how much further he must roam.
Then, as he looks upwards to the sky,
he sees the cloudy skyscape turn to gray.
He waves the scaly fishes a goodbye
And looks for shelter, this and that-a-way.
Underneath a mushroom he sits down,
And finds its cover to be dry and warm.
Frogbert sits and waits upon the ground.
He will stay ‘til passes by the storm.

I really hope the illustrator sees this, if so please let me know if you'd like to collaborate (or not, no worries!)
