What I've Been Hearing
Most of these beliefs…
Were never chosen.
They were learned.
I had asked...
What people are unlearning right now...?
And many said~
“I have to be perfect to be accepted.”
“I need permission to trust myself.”
“My worth depends on how others see me.”
“Starting over means I failed.”
“Being admired matters more than being known.”
All of the responses that I've recieved were deeply felt and personal.
And every response~
Was real.
But here’s truth~
They didn't start with you.
They were built slowly…
Through moments where being accepted~
Felt safer than being real.
Where performing...
Felt easier than being seen.
Where holding it together~
Felt more important
than understanding yourself.
Where each experience that you had to face~
Became a lesson that helped you survive…
But wasn’t always meant to stay.
Some beliefs were protection~
Not identity.
And now you’re starting to notice it.
To question it.
Unlearn it.
It will not all at once~
And that feeling...?
That discomfort?
That something really doesn’t fit anymore.
That’s not you falling apart.
That’s you separating
who you had to be…
From who you’re becoming.
No pressure to perform here.
Just reflection.
If this feels about right~
What’s something you’re realizing
was never really yours to carry?
What Belief About Yourself Are You Unlearning?
What belief about yourself are you slowly unlearning?
Not all at once~
But in quiet moments
where something no longer feels true?
Because some beliefs don’t break loudly.
They fade…
When you start noticing
you’ve been holding onto something~
That no longer fits who you’re becoming.
And letting go of it
doesn’t always feel like freedom at first.
Sometimes~
It feels like losing a version of yourself...
You thought you had to be.
So I’m curious~
What belief are you starting to release…
Even if you don’t fully know
who you are without it yet?
No pressure.
Just reflection.
If it feels right~
What’s one belief you’ve started questioning?
