My husband(Puerto Rican Man) and I (African-American Man) are visiting this summer. We looked at all the tourism advertisements and thought something missing…people who look like us. Historically, Black and Brown people have to exist in Manchester. So where are they? Where do they have events? Where do folks get their hair cut? Are there any events celebrating Black community and culture this summer? We would love to be in these spaces but also feel safe as we are a queer couple.
