My partner has two kids and I’m trying to figure a fun, family friendly way to celebrate mother’s day together. I’m not going to lie, I feel stupid, because I don’t know of something off the top of my head we can do. I haven’t celebrated mother’s day in well over a decade considering my relationship with my own mother is non existent. I have no kids of my own and I have a pretty big surgery in less than two weeks that’s been occupying my mind so it wasn’t at the forefront of my mind.
The kids now consider me a mother figure in their lives but this is recent and in many ways doesn’t really register. I’ve gotten her a gift, but I need help with ideas to go and celebrate as family together. Thoughts?
