Hey everyone. I had an interview today for the research master Child Development and Education at UvA. I was told that since it had been some time since I studied Statistics, I would need to give a methods and statistics exam. On passing this, my conditional offer (if I get one to begin with), would turn unconditional.

Would anyone happen to know what this test covers; how difficult it is; the duration of it; and how they go about it? Or any other details Are there any practice tests I can take somewhere? They said there would be an exam at the beginning of June, but they'll only let me know whether I've been conditionally accepted in the next two weeks. They said they'd provide study material, but the timelines are looking extremely rushed and I will need to start prep asap.

I wasn't really expecting this to happen, I thought having studied Statistics would work to my advantage. I have since gained research experience, too. I'm feeling a bit disheartened. I want to go here more than anything; I've literally worked towards this for over two years now :( Please leave a comment if you have any relevant information. Thanks everyone

Hi! I'm an international student who has applied for the September 2026 intake. I'm yet to receive my admission decisions, but thought I'd start my house hunt right away since every university's website says to start early regardless. Has anyone begun yet?

I've received an invitation to interview for the research master in Child Development and Education at the University of Amsterdam. What are they likely to ask during these interviews and how can I prepare myself in the best way possible? It's scheduled to be around 30 minutes long. This is my top choice and I really, really want to do well!

PS: I asked the same question on the University of Amsterdam page and didn't receive a response, so I thought I'd try my luck here.

Would anyone happen to know how long after reaching the "Decision" stage on Osiris UU announces whether you've been accepted or not? Mine has been stuck on "Decision" for about a week now. Please lmk if possible! I'm non-EU so I'm a bit stressed about visa and stuff; I can only apply once I get a final offer.
