Are air purifiers worth it or of any use?

As part of the installation of my new HVAC system, I let the install the following:

GPS Air GPS-FC48™-AC
https://gpsair.com/products/fc48-ac

PremierOne MUV-403H MultiVoltage Oxidizing UVC System
https://premieroneproducts.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/MUV-403H-Install-Guide.pdf

I am not sure that these were a good idea. I’ve noticed that I am having unusual throat irritation and I am concerned that it might be related to the PremierOne device that is marked as “Ozone Safe”, which is not ozone free.

My new furnace is a 4 ton furnace and I think that whether the GPS Air purifier is useful or not aside, it might be pretty overpowered for my system.

Do you all have any opinions on, or experiences with, these two items. If I do decide to keep a GPS type system, I was thinking of going with a much smaller one.

I have had my S95F for a couple of weeks now and it's been great. The only problem I am having is on the Stanley Cup playoffs. Every once in a while, the game will start badly stuttering (or judder, I don't understand the difference). I can get it to stop by clicking the Home button and then going back into the game. Then it will be fine for a while and start up again.

I have a Roku Ultra and I am watching the games on YouTube TV.

I am starting to wonder if this is a problem with the TV and if I should have gone with an LG instead. The main reason I got the S95F was because of the anti-glare screen and I really do like the TV. We watch a lot of sports so if there is an issue with the S95F when watching sports, it really won't work for us. Everything else about the TV is great. Well, except for ABC and NBC on Dish. Our DVR recording stutter like crazy no matter what I do.

Is this the TV or is there something else it could be?

I am reposting this with videos at the bottom that show the sound. It is not quite as loud on the video but I'm hoping it is enough to get some feedback.

I had an entire new dual fuel heat pump system installed a couple of months ago. These are the components.

  • Lennox SL22KLV-036-230 Cold Climate Heat Pump
  • Lennox CK40CT-49C Coil
  • Lennox SPL99UH090XV48C Furnace
  • Lennox HCWP18 Fan Powered Humidifier
  • Premier One P6100 Whole House Polarized-Media Air Cleaner

When the system is running at a lower CFM, I hear no noise other than the sound of air moving through the system. If I get up to and above 1000CFM, I can hear a very annoying whistling noise in the supply vents on the first floor. I have had the installers out multiple times and nothing that they have done has worked. They replaced the blower and that did absolutely nothing to fix it.

I took the door off of the filter box and was able to clearly hear the whistling noise coming from somewhere in there. Instead of a full sized filter, I have a 1" electrostatic filter that they gave me for free. I was thinking that the whistling was coming from air moving around the filter but I took the filter out and the noise was still present.

I have spent hours trying to figure it out. This is what I have tried:

  • I eliminated the humidifier as the source by removing the cover and the water pad. I could still clearly hear the noise.
  • I removed the electrostatic filter and ran it with no filter. I could still hear the noise.
  • I put tape over the drain at the top, near the humidifier and it made no difference.
  • I have spent a ton of time trying to find a leak and I can't feel any air coming from anywhere.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm not sure what to do and I have a one year "test drive" on it.

I just don't understand Ted. In every commercial, he is something different, yet everyone seems to know who he is and is friends with him. At least AT&T Lily made sense. She worked for AT&T. Ted works for... well, he has a lot of jobs and none of them seem to make much sense.

I don't get it. 🤷
