I like to collect action figures. Small, articulated, characters from my favorite series. I’ve been doing it for a while now too, and it’s brought me a lot of joy over the years. I like to call them little pieces of art and engineering.

You can easily buy these online (and I do) but part of the fun is finding them in stores, the thrill of the hunt so to say. There’s a few hobby/nerd stores in my area that I’ll hit up, and while they dont always have what I’m looking for, it’s fun to check out what they offer.

But man, nowadays every single one of these stores is packed to the gills with Funko Pops. The shelves dedicated to collectibles is dominated by them and it’s incredibly irritating! Personally, I think Funko Pops are lame, and I just can’t see their appeal. They swallow up shelves and sit there for ages, leaving no room for other products.

Call me an old man yelling at clouds, but this shit is really annoying and taking the fun out of this.
