Compared to our eatern counterparts, it seem that we have very cutthroat competition for students for education and work. For instance, SG have psle, O Levels, A levels etc and psle at a young age.

Our western counterparts are having fun playing around, having parties, doing meth and having fun while we have to study for psle.

And even though everyone studied and passed these examinations, getting a job offer isn't really easy especially with this economy. In China and Japan, you have to work very long hours from 9am to 9pm. in japan after work, you have to go drinking with your boss and collegues and you cant refuse it coz it will.affect your job.

This all seem very toxic. Western countries have very good work life balance. Why are Asian countries not implementing any labour laws or good wlb?

so I have a laptop with real ssd one 512 GB and another 1 TB. I currently have Arch installed in the 1TB for playing games and as my own personal os for handling day to day stuff.

I am currently contemplating if I should dual boot windows myb a lstc one for controlling my lenovo firmwares and setting up power options, managing bios updates, hardware scans etc as all these things can be done via Lenovo vantage app and they don't have a linux version for it.

If not, I can dual boot another OS, probably Qubes OS as it seem interesting. My secure boot is disabled atm but I will need to set up secure boot for arch if I dual boot windows. Are there any distros u would like to recommend?

Also do u guys dual boot and what OS?

This is a question for both guys and girls. Do yall care about virginity of your partner b4 marrying?

For me personally, I dont really care about that considering I have slept ard with different exes myself as a guy. As long as my partner is not participating in all those Orgy or gang bang stuff and sleeping ard with 100+ men and std free, i don't mind if she's not a virgin.

However, there are few ppl that care about this stuff. Some guys will reference a key and lock situation. The key being the guy and the lock being the girl. So if the key can be used to open other locks, its a master lock. However if a lock can be opened by multiple keys, then its a shitty lock. its kinda misogynistic in a sense.

However some part holds true. Virginity is more important for girls than guys since ancient times. Kings and Emperors will only want to pick a virgin girl, a young girl that hasn't been tainted in anyway. Also it comes as a prestige.

But in modern times this is no longer that extreme but many guys sentiment are the same. Nobody wishes go marry a woman who slept with over 100 men.

For context, my parents have made some bad choices in life and they gambled and did lots of it. Currently they are in debt and is asking me to support them.in paying them.back. I have a stable.job but I don't intend to pay their debts and interest long term as I helped to paid yhem.back earlier but they went back to.gamble.

I have to say, I am.lucky to have a good job with good paying ard 6k ish but the journey wasn't easy and I have to save for my future and housing etc. its a big financial liability.

Since they wont stop pestering me to pay their debts， I am thinking of doing something desperate like go missing so they cant contact me. How do I do that? or are there anyway, I can refuse paying for their debt?
