1992 Toyota Celica GT, Radiator Fan and Overheating Issue (5SFE Engine and auto trans)

I hope this is more digestible than the explanation in text I posted that received no response,

this is the original post I had made:

1992 Toyota Celica GT, 5sfe engine, auto

Didnt drive the car for a few months. As I was driving the temperature gauge would go up one tick, and there would be coolant spurting out of the overflow and steam coming out.

I thought it might be the radiator cap, so I ordered one from Toyota, which didnt fit, and was the same cap the part store had. I had to file around the plastic on the fill hole to get the cap to fit.

I then realized the radiator fan wasnt turning on, so I replaced the radiator fan relay with an oem replacement from Toyota. After this, the car wasnt overheating and drove fine for 3 hours, radiator fan turning on as it should. Im not sure if it was due to using the heater or pulling a bit hard, but the car started spurting out coolant and steaming from the overflow hose again.

I tested for voltage going to the radiator fan and there is voltage. I also felt the relay while it was running and it felt very hot.

I saw people on here talking about the radiator fan switch, so I unplugged mine, which makes the radiator fan turn on. I ordered a new Beck/Arnley radiator fan switch from rock auto. Installed it yesterday, and the radiator fan still wont turn on. I tested for voltage going to the fan switch and there is power.

I dont know what to do to try to diagnose this issue any more, I would appreciate any advice or things to
