Are AI tools advanced enough to create a HIPAA compliant application?

One of my mentors asked me why we have not switched completely to create a healthcare app using AI tools. I tried to explain to him why we still need skilled tech developers to create secure architecture and data storage/transmission/encryption to ensure app is hipaa complains with no data leaks and comprehensive data logs.

May be I am behind understanding AI capabilities and such in old ways of implementing tech. I would learn from experts who are using AI and think it can now build secure and complex platforms for regulated industry like healthcare.

Has anyone tried building applications with code generated by using ai and hosted on secure cloud platforms for healthcare? Thanks!

The body has a second circulatory system. The NYT just ran a deep dive on why it matters.

A New York Times interactive piece explores the interstitium — a body-wide network of fluid-filled spaces woven through and between every organ, muscle, and layer of skin that researchers now believe functions as a distinct circulatory system.

A few things that stand out for integrative practitioners:

Acupuncture points appear to align with areas of connective tissue where fluid flows through the interstitium, and recent studies using chemical tracers have visualized fluid movement along these pathways — suggesting a potential physiological basis for acupuncture's effects.

Research also indicates that specialized cells in the interstitium around body fat may generate healthy fat cells, which could protect against Type 2 diabetes — presenting a possible therapeutic target.

The interstitium may also play a role in inflammatory bowel disease by allowing immune cells or bacterial fragments to travel from the intestines to the liver, potentially affecting bile duct health.

This is one of those rare moments where a mainstream publication catches up to what many integrative practitioners have been working around clinically for years.

Full NYT article: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2026/05/11/magazine/interstitium-anatomy-acupuncture-medicine.html

What does this mean for how we document and code interstitial-related treatments in integrative practice?

Drowning in research papers — what AI tools help you make sense of clinical / research data?

I work in healthcare space and regularly need to understand the latest techniques for treating and managing various conditions. I have access to research papers and journals, but the volume of data is overwhelming.

What AI tools would you recommend for synthesizing medical/clinical research and presenting it in a way that's accessible to both patients and professionals looking to learn about new treatments or medications?

Bonus points if the tool can:

  • Summarize large volumes of papers quickly
  • Translate dense clinical language into plain English
  • Highlight key findings or treatment comparisons

Would love to hear what's actually working for people in similar roles.

Leads from Reddit or Meta Business

Wondering if anyone advertised on Reddit and/or Meta and generated meaningful leads within their industry.

I am looking to launch a SaaS platform in a month and trying to bring in leads via social media. Looking for advice on how bootstrapped entrepreneurs generated leads effectively.

Hi all! We are looking to publish content by talking to experts on different therapies that worked well for their clients. Our goal is to collect data to share with current academic researchers and also patients who might be interested in exploring integrative/holistic medicine.

I was an oncology patient and benefited from integrative therapies which I had no idea existed. My vision is to share experiences with others around us who can benefit.

Please send a message to me directly on Reddit if you are interested in sharing your experience. I am happy to share more about our work.

Thank you in advance!

I am using zoom integration for tele consultation for my platform that is running entirely on AWS. Zoom is definitely getting expensive for our usage. We want to use video platform for webinars as well where we educate users on specific topics daily.

Wondering if it is worth switching to AWS chime. Someone I know suggested Agora but not sure if should use another 3 party service.

Would love to know the pros/cons before I make a switch. Thanks!

How do you find authentic content (books or social media) on holistic, functional and integration medicine?

For any holistic or integrative practices, I usually go to my local library to reference books or sometimes reference Mayo Clinic page. There is so much content online - youtube, Reddit , blogs, podcasts , Facebook communities, TikTok…. many more.

Are there specific forms of content that wellness seekers or patients are consuming from? How valuable are podcasts or blogs to get information on specific therapy working for a condition?

Looking for your thoughts on media/books to get genuine and authentic information. As always, thanks in advance to Reddit community for engaging.

I will be in Boston tomorrow for an all day work event near the Longwood area and hoping to watch game 6 in the city. A few of my friends plan to join as well. I am guessing a place close to TD might be more lively, especially with the Bs playing at home.

Wondering if anyone has recommendations (food/bars) to watch the game/cheer for Bruins. Thank you!
