David Pastrnak’s crash out in the locker room during the first intermission of Game 4

u/Grizzly-Berry — 5 days ago

In less than an hour, fans from here will join others from around the world, and you will be launching cheers for the largest battle in the history of the 2025-26 Bruins.

Bruins, that word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can’t be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in a common interest.

Perhaps it is fate that today is May 1st and we will once again be facing off against our opponent. Not from tyranny, oppression or persecution, but from elimination.

We're fighting for our right to win, to advance to the next round. And should we win the day, May 1st will no longer be known as a Boston holiday, but as the day when the Bruins declared in one voice:

WE WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THE NIGHT!!!!

WE WILL NOT VANISH WITHOUT A FIGHT!!!

WE’RE GOING TO LIVE ON, WE’RE GOING TO SURVIVE!!!

TONIGHT, WE CELEBRATE NOT ELIMINATION DAY!!!

[FREE TO READ] Early NHL free agent big board: The top 20 UFA targets to watch this offseason

There will be no shortage of money for NHL teams to spend this summer after the league confirmed this week a salary cap jump to $104 million for next season.

What will they spend it on?

The upcoming free-agent class is a little short on headline names, but there are plenty of quality players eligible to hit the open market on July 1. And many of them are bound to land eye-popping contracts in a rising-cap environment.

The Elite Teams

When you watch the elite teams in the playoffs, it becomes apparent that the prototypical Bruins style is obsolete. Speed kills.

Pretty brutal. Not only do we not get their pick, but they get one of the best prospects since Connor McDavid.

Leafs just got an absolute jumpstart to their retool.

Lyndon Byers

A friend of mine and I were just reminiscing about our days working at a sports bar in Buffalo, and that made me Google Lyndon Byers. I am so upset to learn that he died almost a year ago! Somehow I missed that.

Does anyone know how/why he died?

#Ladies, Gentlemen, it’s been one hell of a season.

No one thought we’d even sniff the playoffs this year, including myself. Though we are all rightfully disappointed at the outcome of this series, our Bruins outperformed all expectations, let’s not forget that important point.

Let’s keep it civil, and remember, stay the fuck out of the Sabres sub or you will catch a ban.

It’s been a pleasure being a part of this community for the last however many years, and I’m looking forward to spending it with you guys next season. As my father, aka Dadfightr, likes to say, “Black and Gold until I’m dead and cold”.

And as always, for good measure…

#FUCK THE HABS!!!
