OMGOMG! Begonia I'Conia Lemon Berry (OC)

I’m insanely in love with these flowers. When I was a kid I always thought of begonias as old lady flowers.

She is about 2’ tall. I live in Ontario and got and got Simone Lemone, a Meyer lemon tree, in the fall. It’s been (and still is) a massive learning curve. Never have I ever spent so much energy on a plant! She has had every issue under the sun but keeps on going! My morning ritual is coffee then I go in and spritz her down with water, (just because) and adjust her lights and inspect her to make sure the mites haven’t completely taken over. I occasionally put her in the shower and then wipe her down with pest control. I water once a week. I pinched off all but the largest lemon this winter. It’s still there! I bought some fruit fertilizer and in the last 10 days she had woken up and sprouted many new leaves and flowers.
I’m quite nervous about moving her outside though that was the whole idea when I bought her. Tips on the transition are welcome.

I took this photo last spring. They are gearing up now to bloom in a week or so. It’s the only time I actually like this bush.

I’m finally walking down the stairs! I had a real mind block about that and this morning I did it. I’ve been going up for a long time but just could not wrap my head around down.

This has been a crazy journey. To recap, I had a reaction to Dilaudid and had to stay in the hospital an extra 8 days. I think the rest helped with my progress. No pain meds were allowed so that has been my biggest hurdle. Then two weeks ago I managed to stab the top of my other foot with a stick from the yard. It went in hard. Went to emergency. Waited 8 hours to get a tetanus shot and sent home saying there was nothing in there. The foot continued to take on balloon proportions. Was given antibiotics that didn’t help, then given different ones. The foot got cellulitis. So new knee ✔️a serious infection, ✔️ bleeding stomach✔️. The new antibiotic took the swelling down a little but one day a matchstick sized piece of wood ( how did he not see that on the ultrasound?) made its way out of the wound. The pain instantly subsided and is now starting to heal.

In the meantime I haven’t been doing much PT because I couldn’t walk.

So I am super happy that the block about walking down the stairs is gone! Milestone reached, now wrap me in bubble wrap and clear the way.
