

I was going through my set and noticed that one of my cards has a fairly large dent. In fact, the dent is so significant that it’s visible from the back of the card.
It’s graded an 8, but of course this card is not an 8.
Reading through the guarantee terms and conditions (https://www.psacard.com/financialguarantee), it looks like the game is:
I send it in, they review, and either:
A. They say I’m full of it, send the card back, and charge me $25 for wasting their time, or
B. They regrade it, send it back with the new grade, and some amount of money that they think the difference is.
Do I have this basically right?
Does anyone have any personal experience they can share? (Did the compensation feel fair?)
I guess I’m just worried that they’ll tell me the difference between an 8 and a 6 is only $100 or something.
