Hi, I have a MacBook Air with an M4 chip and I play Minecraft When I play for about 10–15 minutes, I get:

  • Thermal pressure: Moderate → Heavy
  • The area above the keyboard (near F1–F12) gets very hot
  • I capped FPS at 60, which helped a bit, but it still heats up

Is this normal for Apple Silicon MacBook Airs?

I noticed that Minecraft seems to push the CPU really hard even though it's an older game. I don’t use shaders, just normal settings.

Also, is it safe to keep playing like this for longer sessions?

Thanks for any advice 👍
