Hotel wifi solutions

Hey, I'm looking for a solution but I don't know exactly what it is. I was hoping you guys would be able to help me out.

I have a tp-link router that I carry with me on my travels, but this hotel doesn't have any Ethernet ports, just phone jacks. There is one Ethernet cable that plugs into the hotel room phone, that comes from a little box that plugs into the outlet, with a phone cable connected to the same box. I removed the Ethernet end from the phone and plugged it into my router, but no dice (wifi but not internet). I'm not sure what that box is, but I've never seen anything like it and clearly it doesn't go back to the modem.

The Wi-Fi is decent enough to browse on my phone, but if I attempt to play my PlayStation portal it's super stuttery and disconnects within 30-60 seconds. I was at this same hotel previously and I never had this problem. I even tried switching rooms.

In this case, would a wifi to Ethernet bridge plugged in and wired to the router help boost the signal, or maybe a wifi extender?

PIA MACE

Sorry in advance for my ignorance on this topic, but I haven't been able to find an answer anywhere. I just discovered rethink dns. Can I use that in conjunction with pia mace on my phone, or would it be redundant?

I know I don't have much to work with, but I plan to gold jesko, hoping that, never and cent help me in div5. I'm coming up from div3 to bag. Which others should I focus on upgrading?

I didn't read others' posts, because I don't want any bias before I write this post. I will look after.

My pixel 8 pro is suddenly significantly lagging with everything. Just me or is it you guys too?

Hate to say it, but if this is what big G is doing now (the 🍏 method), I might have to go back to OnePlus. Haven't paid attention much lately, are they still good? is there better out there comparable to stock android feel? I'm not willing to go back to Scamsung bloatware.
