Hi folks,

I got my Dell Alienware AW2726DM delivered yesterday. I bought it from Dell India, and it took only one week to arrive. Initially, when I placed the order, the estimated delivery date was somewhere around mid-July, but luckily mine got delivered within a week. It was shipped via Blue Dart from Delhi. I got it for around ₹37K with a 7% student discount. If you're not a student, you can still find other coupons online for about a 5% discount on Dell India.

Things inside the box:

Basic paperwork

1 HDMI cable (Hope its 2.1/ port is 2.1 btw)

1 DisplayPort (DP) cable

VESA mount stand (not snap-fit, needs to be screwed)

Monitor

About the monitor:

I bought this mainly for my PS5, so I booted it up with the console.

Now, the moment of truth — it's freaking amazing, guys!

This is an absolute peak monitor for this price. The picture quality is insanely good. Colors are punchy and vibrant, with deep blacks.

Then I set up the display on the PS5 with HDR and checked the 1440p support — yes, it supports it. VRR is supported, but ALLM is not. Interestingly, it also shows 2160p, but honestly, I didn’t notice much difference compared to 1440p.

120Hz support is available, and here are some games I tested:

Forza Horizon 5 – 60Hz

God of War Ragnarok – 120Hz with VRR

Ghost of Tsushima – 60Hz

Gran Turismo 7 – 120Hz (without VRR)

Astro’s Playroom – 60Hz

FC 24 – 60Hz

I was initially concerned about the 200 nits brightness, but after using it, it’s not an issue at all. It actually feels more bright. I’ve set it to around 75% brightness, and that itself is sufficient. HDR looks even better.

So guys, don’t worry about brightness.

Overall first impression:

Best display you can get under ₹40K in India 🇮🇳
