All games crash except VALORANT
Hey everyone,
I’m having a pretty frustrating issue with my gaming laptop. Recently, almost all of my games have started crashing after some playtime, but Valorant never crashes.
Most of the games I play are on Steam, while Valorant is not. Before this, I barely had crashes, except Apex Legends would crash sometimes. But recently, almost overnight, my games started crashing much more often. The crash timing depends on the game, but they usually crash after playing for a bit.
One common error I’ve been getting is:
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
This has happened in games like Apex Legends.
I think it might be a driver or GPU-related problem. I’ve already tried several fixes, but nothing has worked so far. I also use a laptop cooler, so I don’t think overheating is the main issue. I even tried lowering all graphics settings to the lowest. In Apex, I can get around 150–200 FPS, and around 100 FPS during fights, but recently I’ve also been getting a lot more stuttering and FPS drops in some games.
The weird part is that Valorant runs fine and has never crashed, while my Steam games keep crashing.
Anyone experienced something similar? Could this be an NVIDIA driver issue, Direct x, something ?
Any advice would help a lot.
