Creatinine 1.81-1.9 with possibly increased thirst

Creatinine 1.81-1.9 with possibly increased thirst

My sweet boy dog is 10.5 years old. We lost his sister in February and he’s always been very codependent. Since around and I’ve noticed he’s drinking more water, though our routine has completely changed. I got blood work and UA in March. His creatinine was 1.8 and he had a few struvite crystals. The vet treated him with an antibiotic and then she wanted to recheck. Had that done in April and his creatinine was 1.9.

She had me switch him to kidney food and said next steps were to recheck blood level in a month or pursue an ultrasound to check for tumor, stones, etc. Overall, I like the vet however I’m seeking a second opinion.

Additional background: He was treated for Lyme disease in 2024. He has not been on preventative since, but we stopped going hiking and we live in the suburbs. They did have us run that test again for some reason and of course it still showed positive. He does lick his junk a few times a day. Again, not sure if that’s normal or if I’m hyper focused on him.

I don’t have a lot of money (and that kidney food it expensive!!) but he is my sweet boy. What would be your next step?

Recently upped tret. I was doing 0.025 but perhaps inconsistently and definitely not consistent with SPF. Now I’m about to turn 36, my skin is new focus.

Is this normal texture for someone on about week 4-5? Or am I dealing with something going on with my barrier.

I have had some stinging with things with HA and niacinimide (for example: LRP double repair and a few others) so I am switching to products with out and a little less heavy moisturizer. I also backed off from every other day, and added in some cicaplast on dry spots.

Here’s my routine. Thanks!!

Am
Vanicream in the tub (about to switch to atobarrier 365)
CeraVe mineral 30 SPF (about to switch to LRP anthelios 50 mineral)

Pm
Oil cleanse
And sometimes small amount of Cetaphil gentle cleanser
10 min wait
Tret (1 day on 2 day off as I adjust to the higher strength)
20 min wait
Vanicream in the tub (about to switch to atobarrier 365)

I need to hire someone to install two shutters ideally before Mother’s Day. Must be insured as a ladder will be involved. I did one pair and decided never again 😭 recommendations?

I have this red patch and a raised spot on the other side, and some bumps around my chin, since increasing in strength. Is this normal purging or more like a dermatitis? I did some reading on perioral dermatitis and switched from a mint toothpaste and to a kids toothpaste. I tested it for several days and when I tried the mint it seemed to go back to more red, so I’m suspicious!

Vanicream in the tub

Oil cleanse

Tret cream (every other day, every 2 days sometimes as I adjust to the higher 0.05)

Will tret help with redness around the nose? My recently upped to 0.05% mostly for anti-aging, but I’m wondering if it can do anything for my nose. My other question is do I look like I have rosacea? Last time I posted someone suggested I joined the rosacea sub, but I think it was because the lighting in my pictures. I feel like I’m noticing improvements in my sun spots, but I also haven’t been as diligent about sunscreen before now. I’m just starting every other night after being on two times per week for about a month.

When you all wash your face in the morning with just water, do you wash until you can feel nothing left on your skin or just more of a splash and basic wash?
