"Can you hold that thought?"

No. No, I cannot. It is killing me. Can you not see that this thought must be released?

Evidently my face gives it away. My husband can see it, and assumes (not without precedent) he will be interrupted, and gets annoyed, and....

Sigh. It was a really good thought. Heck if I can remember what it was now.

My 88yo MIL asked me to help myself to anything I wanted from her sewing room. (I scarcely made a dent). The best item is the sleeve board that her grandpa made. My husband says he remembers her using the ham to iron his dad's work shirts while she watched her afternoon soaps. 🥰

I asked her to not be in too big a hurry to get rid of the unfinished quilts. Her skill level is light-years ahead of me. I want a chance for her to teach me how to finish one. I have my grandma's lap quilting frame. It may take me a few years.

Of course, now I have incentive to knock out some projects, because I'm going to hear, "So, what have you got made?"
