Hey all! We recently conducted a poll asking what you guys wanted the subreddit to be and most of you elected that it should be a support group focused rather than discussions or activism. Therefore we are working on new changes and will roll them out soon! We are researching a bit more into what a proper support group should like (if you guys have suggestions please drop them in the comments) and the best way to engage you all while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

As always suggestions are welcome!

Aarambh is an organization dedicated to addressing the issue of CSA. They uniquely have resources and what to do for all: lawyers, police, teachers, counselors and parents. Definitely check it out if you have kids or live with young children on how to teach them to be safe. They also have a section on pursuing legal action including how to explain it to children and how to handle threats etc.

It's a very helpful resource!

Hey guys! I'm not sure if these types of posts are allowed but, I am a mod at r/VictimsSupportIndia and it's mission is to be a safe space/support group for those with dealing with SA and DV we also support those who are going through a hard time in their lives. We have resources like active reddit volunteers who are counselors or lawyers ready to help. Recently we opened up discussion and activism posts. However, we are now debating how that would affect the support group so we wanted to hear from you!

In a safe space like r/VictimsSupportIndia , will it be productive to have debates, discussions and activism? Or should it be kept focused on support only?

Your feedback is valuable in building a support system!
