How do I get Xfinity to verify their coaxial is grounded?
We just had a power surge and my personal modem has shorted out. This made me realize that for multiple prior power outages/surgest, my TV shorted out was connected to coaxial, 2 other Xfinity cable boxes that shorted were connected to coaxial, and a prior modem connected to coaxial shorted out.
This is not coincidence.
Temporarily using a moden from XFinity before I order a replacement, but after some research **I want verification the coaxial is grounded**.
The XFinity Assistant won't send out a tech, I have no idea how to get one out here to check. I've been advised to get "get an electrician" but I called 3 of them and they just said they install whole house surge protectors and don't check coaxial for grounding, but install coaxial surge protectors.
I seriously believe it's not grounded properly. How do I get an xfinity tech out here to verify/corroborate and repair?
