Bored and didn't see this done before, so best episode of Season 1?

Bored and didn't see this done before, so best episode of Season 1?

Didn't see anyone do it for this show, so why not? What's the best episode of season 1? If we get enough comments then the most upvoted will be considered the best, tomorrow we'll move onto the worst, and maybe do the same for the other seasons :)

What's the arrow in the top left corner in Risky's Revolution?

Finished Risky's Revolution yesterday and realized that I never found out about this and googling it got me nothing. Maybe I'm dumb and missed a textbox but...

What' the arrow in the top left above your magic meter? Its red and was always pointing down and to the left? I thought it was pointing at a secret but that doesn't seem to be the case?

Pokemon Romhack Pet Peeves that you have?

What are some of your guys' pet peeves with romhacks you play? Little things that don't really matter or shouldn't matter, but bug you specifically.

One of mine is ill fitting Pokemon to areas. Its weird to me seeing certain Pokemon in the early game. I'm currently playing Amethyst and am liking it so far, but seeing Yamper, Cutiefly, and Sandygast on the early routes feels weird to me, they feel more like mid game Pokemon to me, personally.

I also don't like romhacks having too much story. I'm not a story guy to begin with, but I am perfectly fine with playing a romhack with more of a story, but then you get ones like, say, Unbound, where there's SO many cutscenes that are SO long and just grind the game's pace to a halt.

What are some of your guys' little pet peeves?

Games not showing up in gaming mode?

So decided to add Shantae Risky Revolution and Pokemon Amethyst to my Steam Deck. I check and both roms work, I put them in the right folders, they show up on the Parse, and it even says "Successfully added" or whatever. However, they don't show up on Steam like every other game does. Again, the roms work on both my PC and when I tested them by opening the emulator and manually starting them on the Steam Deck. The games show up in the Parsing, EmuDeck says it successfully added them, no error message or anything.

Why don't the games show up on Steam in gaming mode or in desktop mode? :(

I tried 3 different romsites and have tried GBA, PS1, SNES, and N64 and none worked.

I think it'd be fun as a stream or video in general for James to go to the Dead Meat wiki and do sort of a Wikipedia Fact or Fiction on it, looking over stuff like "List of movies that will never be kill counted" and trivia pages and stuff. I think it'd be an interesting thing to look at and poke fun at some weird edits and stuff.

So with the new Song vs Song including Foo Fighters' Best of You, I was reminded about how that song has been semi ruined for me by that meme video that keeps looping THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST for 4 minutes ( https://youtu.be/5vRlJrkxsqo )

Do you guys have any songs that memes ruined for you by either making it so you can't unsee a certain aspect or can't play it without the meme popping up in your head?

EDIT: Dull may be a poor word choice, I mean simpler moreso! 😄

Something I noticed is that older sitcoms had episode titles that were puns or play on words or had a theme, like Friends having a gimmick of every episode being "The One With/Where/When...", and Fresh Prince having episode titles that are mostly puns like Def Poet's Society and Ill Will, and modern sitcoms do the same thing, for the most part, but early 2000s specifically usually had blander titles. Malcolm in the Middle mostly has titles like "Monkey" "Car" "Poker" "Birthday" "Casino" "Bully", etc. Everybody Loves Raymond is the same with them mostly being "High School" "Gift" "Letter" "The Sister" "Italy", etc. and According to Jim does the same, etc.

Was wondering if there was a reason for this trend in a historic context or whatever?

What are some episode tropes you hate? Not tropes themselves, so not talking about stuff like "Smart sister, troublemaker brother" or "Dumb husband, bitch wife". I moreso mean episode tropes.

Examples being:

I don't like camping episodes. I just don't find a summer camp setting or camping in the woods interesting. I'm not an outdoorsy type in that way and just don't find much appeal in it.

I don't like school play episodes. A lot of them feel the exact same as each other for the most part.

Let's say Clip Shows don't count, almost everyone hates those :P
