I can’t get skin to look realistic in night photos. Any tips?

The skin always looks either too smooth, too fake, or weirdly colored. Any tips for getting more natural skin tones in low-light/night photography?

I honestly don’t understand Instagram’s goal anymore. Real accounts, AI accounts seem to be getting banned one by one for no clear reason.

People spend time and effort building their accounts, then suddenly everything can disappear without a proper explanation. I was thinking about running ads on Instagram, but now I’m hesitant because I’m worried my money might go to waste.

How can people trust the platform if accounts can be disabled so easily? Has anyone else experienced this recently?

I’m planning to run ads on Instagram and X, and my main goal is to gain more followers and increase engagement.

My total budget is around $550. Based on your experience, what would be the most effective strategy for this budget?

Should I focus more on Instagram, X, or split the budget between both?

Any advice, examples, or budget breakdowns would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

I’ve been trying to improve the realism of the photos I generate with AI. Overall, the results are not bad; an average person looking at the example photos probably wouldn’t immediately realize they were generated by AI. However, someone who is a bit more familiar with this kind of work can often tell that the images are AI especially because of the skin texture.

My main issue is with the face and skin. The skin sometimes looks too smooth, plastic-like, or has an unnatural texture. This becomes much more noticeable in night shots or low-light style photos. When lighting, shadows, and skin texture come together, the overall sense of realism drops significantly.

Do you have any suggestions on this, such as prompts or similar tips? I’m not expecting 100% realism, but I want to get as close as possible and achieve results that don’t immediately give off an obvious AI feel at first glance.
