Happy Mother’s Day to my American cousins, I wish we got more of Martha and young Bruce. I don’t know the comic.

In honour of Mother’s Day for my American friends what do you think Rogue would be like as a mother? Comic is Uncanny X-Men (2024) #18.

Happy Mother’s Day for my American cousins and to MJ, she’s an amazing mother in every universe.

I hate that ‘Renew Your Vows’ made Emma Frost a villain again. From ‘Renew Your Vows’ (2017) #7.

Jay’s intelligence is often overlooked.

The show portrays Alex, Mitch, Cam and Manny as the smart ones of the family but honesty aside from Alex, Jay is arguably the most intelligent of the family.

Jay despite not finishing college (this might have been due to being drafted rather than dropping out) was able to build a closet empire without Earl and after being betrayed by Earl he builds another which would s a thriving business for decades, build a dog bed business in his twilight years and is able to beat the prodigious Alex in words with friends to the point she is befuddled.

Jay is not only quite witty but is also shown to be an active reader as he’s often seen reading in the show when he has alone time (which probably explains how he defeated his genius granddaughter since he would have picked up a lot of words by reading so often) and he is shown to have intellectual interests such as space travel with his NASA models.

A very strong case could be made for Jay being the 2nd smartest member of the family.

So apparently Peter was 28 post OMD. He was bitten and became Spider-Man when he was 15 so 13 years later he’d be 28. From Spider-Man (2014) #1.

The only rules are the group can only be 6 members including Emma.

Other than that you can pick anyone.

My team would be:

Cyclops not only due to his tactical ability, his rapport with Emma and his fighting skills

Kitty Pryde because of her intelligence, chemistry with Emma, fighting skill and her phasing abilities are great for stealth and civilian evac

Nightcrawler because of his teleporting ability which can and has often been the difference between life and death and it’s Kurt need I say more?

Rogue because she can be the team’s muscle and she can fly

My final pick would be Iceman because his powers can be used in so many creative ways

Who would be on your version of Emma’s crew?

Peter was 19 when they met and MJ was 18 and since then in between all the countless times Peter saved lives and fought villains Gwen died, they dated, Peter got a clone, went to Battleworld, got the black suit then removed it, Peter and MJ got married, Peter was buried alive, they lost a child, Peter unmasked in front of the world and everything that happened after that is a fever dream.

In all that time how many years would have passed? At least in Batman Knightfall it’s mentioned that Bruce has been Batman for 10 years meaning he’s 35 at that time but I don’t think we have anything like that for Peter and MJ.

My best guess would be Peter is 28 ad MJ is 27 but what do you think?

Jon Connington muses that if he had done as Tywin would have done and burned the Stony Sept the rebellion would have been prevented and Rhaegar would be king.

Would burning the Stony Sept really have helped the Targaryen’s though?

While the rebellion would have lost its main leader and the Stormlands army the Northern, Vale and Riverlands armies were still intact and the other two leaders were still alive. Plus burning the Stony Sept would be disastrous PR for the Targaryens and would help turn the smallfolk against them and if you want to know how bad that is for Targaryens trying to keep power ask Rhaenyra.
