Favorite Frasier episode?
My favorite episode is when Niles had a heart problem and everyone was with him in the hospital room before he was wheeled into surgery

I have a theory at which you're all sure to hoot: The Garretts were toying with everyone.
26 years after Roz and the Schnoz was first aired (S05E21, May 1998), it occurred to me that it's very probable the Garretts were pranking everyone from Roz to Frasier and the rest of the gang.
They knew they had big noses!
(A reminder of the plot: Roz stays with Frasier while her new apartment is being painted, and panics when she receives a message from Rick's parents, the Garretts, her baby's future grandparents. She, and everyone, are in for a shock: the Garretts have humongous noses!)
First, their noses are humongous and it's quite unlikely that they are not aware of that.
Then, even if one of them has deep self-denial, they still have each other to look and gaze at for decades!
They also allude to the fact that people are always visibly shocked when they first see them (they explain it away by saying it seems that people cannot believe we are the parents of a 20 year old, which would not have worked all the years when their son was younger).
Moreover, it's revealed in the later part of the episode that even their son (with whom Roz had hooked up, resulting in pregnancy) inherited the big nose trait and had to go through a rhinoplasty, apparently with the knowledge and approval of the parents (who did not like the final results).
And lastly, the Garretts keep pushing the big nose issue on people around them: They make it so easy for anyone to come up with silly big nose puns, jokes, funny imagery and more. Actually, that's the very reason Frasier could not hold his dignified attitude towards the Garretts anymore and ended up exploding with laughter in the Kitchen.
I think mr. & mrs. Garrett are very smart and inherently funny people who truly love each other and enjoy people's reactions to their distinct physical characteristic.
What do you think, guys?
(fun fact: Kevin Kilner and Jordan Baker, who play the Garretts, got married on October 10,1998, just a few months after this episode first aired!)
I’m somebody who cares way too much about what people think of me. I get scared every reaction that isn’t positive could be negative be the start of abandonment. Sometimes when I feel like the entire world hates me, I repeat this quote to myself and it really helps. Not every bad thing is about me and there’s so much going on in others’ lives. In other words, I am NOT the center of the universe lol
Just wanted to share that 😅❤️
I taught a class on using a fire extinguisher in the hospital. We use the acronym PASS to remember to Pull the safety pin, Aim the nozzle (hose), Squeeze the handle and sweep from side to side.
I used the entire opening from this episode to illustrate what not to do.
If you had to come up with an acronym to describe what Niles did, what would it be?
Spelling well is is own reward.
Lore accurate Frasier and Niles? Tried to make Niles' house as him as I could
It seems absurd to think that she was planning to give just $50 all along, but I don't think she would have wrote the $50 cheque out of spite either.
I absolutely love as Karen Walker and on rewatch of s4 e13 Four For The Seesaw I keep expecting to burst out with a Walkerism "that's like thinking vodka is just a morning beverage" or "You’ll do it like every self-respecting woman does. Get on your back, point your heels to Jesus and think of hand bags."
It would be a hoot if Frasier dated Karen for an episode.
This has bothered me since my fourth or so rewatch when i had gotten familiar with the characters and it still bothers me.
Why was is Martin and not Frasier that complained about the toast sweat. Given what we have seen over the years, it fits into things that would irk Frasier especially if the thing was being done by Martin at Frasiers home.
Moreover, it bothered me even more that Frasier actually had the opposite stance on toast sweat.
I know its a small thing but I just never understood why this one time they made Martin the fussbudget.

I finished watching the whole season once again . I couldn’t hold back my tears in the final episode . It’s not just the show , but feels like American culture is disappearing . I didn’t know of any other place I could post my feelings, so there
I took my Lamy fine nib to Gran Caneria, trying to document my journey.
