Parameters are good right?

Shrimp died off after rescaping. Pretty positive it was too warm for them. Tested the water today and it’s perfectly fine…?

What in GODS NAME happened to my shrimp?

Edit for anyone who might need it in the future: When I rescaped my tank toxic bubbles got released when I agitated the sand and killed off my shrimp.

Woke up and they are all dead or dying wtf happened?? I rescaped last night but idk what happened they were fine

Frantically posted in bettaclinic because I was scared he might be pineconing and wanted to know how to fix it ASAP but someone told me he’s overweight and to reduce feeding (which I didn’t know I was overfeeding until today)

I was told 5 pellets once a day for bettas but apparently it’s 2 and I was told to skip one day a week.

I want a second opinion JUST to be safe. I’m terrified of losing this little guy and he’s been doing so well! I’ve had him I wanna say about a month and a half maybe 2 months.

Is my betta starting to pinecone or am I being paranoid??

He acts completely fine. Fins looks great and he eats well and swims around well. He’s a healthy weight.

I think I’m but super paranoid but is he starting to pinecone or is that just how he looks?

Added a couple plants :) and rearranged the wood so that way it would stay in place where I want it!

Rescaped the 40 gal AGAIN!

Rescaped again. Agitated the sand and stuff so it’s a little cloudy I will post another picture when it’s fully clear! Went from white sand to black sand and added LOTS more stuff.

Matter of fact I’ll just post the before and after.

I’ve been trying to grow a carpet for about 2 weeks now. I’ve followed all the directions and not a single seed has sprouted. I’ve read a few posts recently saying they are scams.

I’ve followed all directions that people have told me to do.

Would it be better if I just went to the store and bought a start for a carpet?

The reason my 20 gal looks so odd and ugly is because I have rocks on the wood trying to get it to sink (yes I did boil it) my betta tank (5 gal) is SO dark now. I ordered a new light for it.

It’s a 20 gal long. Got it a while back. Leak tested it and it’s fine no leaks. Is it safe to use for an aquarium? Someone told me it’s not but it held water in my back yard for a solid month before I emptied it out. Should I just go buy a new one?

Hi everyone!!

So I’m not new to having fish tanks at all! I have a betta tank and a 40 gallon community tank, both are planted.

But I’ve wanted an axolotl for AGES and I mean AGES I’ve been doing some research on them and I think I’m ready to get started on a axolotl tank! I’ve been watching some YouTube videos on proper care.

So i guess I have some questions I’d like answered if possible!

Sand is okay? Right? And plants as well? As long as they are hardy plants incase the axolotl nibbles at the plants?

Is it safe to put a baby axolotl in a 20 gallon tank as long as upgraded when they get bigger? To save time I think I’m gonna just start out from the get go with a 40 gal tank. Maybe even bigger incase I wanna get 2 :)

And I know they need a chiller if in a warm area.

And cycling is 4-6 weeks just like a normal fish tank correct?

What kind of filter is best?

Can I see some pictures of y’all’s axolotl tanks for inspo?

I wanna learn all the basics so I do it right the first time! So please be kind!
