Here’s everything happening:

• The issue originally only happened while gaming or under heavy load.
• It does NOT always happen when idle, but recently it also happened during startup.
• Sometimes the screen flickers, then it calms down and Windows sends me back to the login screen.
• I switched from Hybrid graphics to Discrete GPU mode in OMEN Gaming Hub to test if Optimus/iGPU was the issue.
• Sometimes both the laptop screen and HDMI output fail at the same time.
• But other times HDMI works perfectly while the laptop screen does not.

Important:

• I used to use a 120W original HP charger from another Omen and there was NO flickering with it.
• Now I’m using the original 230W charger that came with the Omen 16 and the problem started happening.
• I no longer have warranty.

I’m trying to figure out if this is:

• GPU driver crashing
• power/charger related
• display cable or panel
• Hall sensor
• or something else.

Has anyone experienced something similar with the HP Omen 16 wd0063dx?

The strange thing is:

• I was using a 120W original HP charger (from another Omen), and it NEVER flickered.
• Now I’m having flickering problems.
• The issue does NOT happen when the laptop is idle.
• It ONLY happens while gaming or under heavy load.

I’m trying to figure out if this could be:

• a power issue
• the charger
• the Hall sensor
• or something else (GPU/screen)

Has anyone experienced this or knows what could be causing it?
